Re: Kyrgios on court about Wawrinka: 'Kokkinakis banged his girlfriend..."

It's still his "personal" life. Everybody makes mistakes, marriages do fail and every story has two sides.

Stan can taunt opponents on court when he's feeling a bit frustrated. We've all...

Re: Ask MTF Mods

I didn't quote anybody in the deleted parts but never mind. It's not as if we lost any crucial info here. I was just curious to see missing posts after not being able to get on MTF for a while.

Re: Kyrgios on court about Wawrinka: 'Kokkinakis banged his girlfriend..."

It's a sign of weakness from Materazzi. He knew that Zidane was a superior football player and he was not even fit to stand in his shadow so the only way to go is to trash talk. It's weak.

Re: Kyrgios on court about Wawrinka: 'Kokkinakis banged his girlfriend..."

So, that's the excuse? It happens in soccer so deal with it and accept that this is the future of professional sports?

It's not as if this little episode between Zidane & Materazzi wasn't heavilly...

Re: Ask MTF Mods

I didn't write it down and I usually only skim through general messages, opening only a few threads but I do remember more posts in the following threads:

The off topic thread "Nadal the only big 4...

Re: Domestic violence really should be spoken about from a gender neutral perspective

Utter nonsense.

If you simply use google, you'll find plenty of cases of women in jail after having beaten their husband.

Re: Players who play too quickly between points

Why the hostility?

Anybody who has seen enough matches (not just match highlights on youtube but watching enough entire matches) with Agassi (providing that the person you're talking to...

Re: Players who play too quickly between points

Duh. Of course it's hyperbole to make my point but that still doesn't change what I'm getting at. I've still seen enough players having to rush to get to the next spot where a normal pace would be...

Re: Players who play too quickly between points

You shouldn't have to sprint to the next point either. There's no excuse for this either.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on the gamesmanship issue. :)

Re: Players who play too quickly between points

IMO, it's not a normal gameplan if he doesn't give his opponent the time to get ready to serve. It's not normal to expect your opponent to almost sprint to the right spot in order to receive your...

Re: Players who play too quickly between points

I don't quite get this line of thinking.

He's clearly the GOAT but he hasn't been dominating every single match or opponent with the same ease so Federer is smart enough to use every trick in the...

Re: Players who play too quickly between points

Agassi tended to rush his opponents. Between points, he used to walk very fast for example. (remember his pidgeon walk?)

This was often discussed by commentators during his matches.
The rule states...

Re: Ask MTF Mods

The site was down for a while and I notice that quite a few posts are now missing. I take it that those posts are lost because you had to go back to an earlier version?

Re: Players who play too quickly between points

You're not asking me but both can be gamesmanship. It doesn't necessarily have to be that but in some cases, it can be viewed as such.

Re: Players who play too quickly between points

Well, there are sports that are played at a slow pace without any effort to speed it up either. Sports isn't necessarily about speed. Many sports do need a high pace but not all of them.

Re: Nadal the only big 4 not married or with child

MTF is getting more and more weird by the minute.

Did it somehow travel back into time to the 50s where you needed to by married with children by the age of 25 in order to not be viewed as an...

Re: Mcenroe: "My top 4 are Laver, Sampras, Roger and Nadal, but Novak is #5. Above Bo

I've been watching tennis since the early 80s and I don't agree with you. I don't think that it was THE target for a great tennis player back then but it always mattered: McEnroe was surely...

Re: Mcenroe: "My top 4 are Laver, Sampras, Roger and Nadal, but Novak is #5. Above Bo

I've been watching tennis since the early 80s and when McEnroe was miffed to not being able to win RG in order to get the complete set, Lendl was trying very hard to win Wimbledon in order to...

Dude, those Olympics are 1 year away from now. Just how bored are you that you're helping to spam GM with "what if" scenario's?

Oh come on. Even back then, you Djoker fans gave as good as you received.

What's with the "poor underrated, misunderstood Djokovic and poor us, Djoker fans" routine many of the Djoker tards show...

Re: Is crowd support an overrated factor?

I think that a lot has to do with the confidence of a player.
A player who rides high on confidence doesn't need the crowd support or can even play with a hostile crowd against him.
However, if the...

Re: Wimbledon QF: Gasquet def. Wawrinka 6-4 4-6 3-6 6-4 11-9

I don't really care about the possible implications for the remainder of the tournament but it was an entertaining match and I'm really glad for Richard Gasquet.
