Re: Milos Raonic withdraws from the Olympics

Zika is one of those viruses that comes around every year and sends everybody into hysteria. See also: Swine flu/h1n1, bird flu, h5n1, etc. All of these were blown way out of proportion and I suspect...

Re: Bastad F: [3]Ramos-Vinolas def. [5]Verdasco 6-3 6-4 wins maiden ATP title!

He's been having a great year. I'm glad Farare's vulturing attempt was unsuccessful. :p

Re: Hamburg Final: Klizan def. Cuevas 6-1 6-4, 5-0 Record in Finals

Such a random result - winning two 500's and barely a match elsewhere :p Well done, Martin. Hopefully he can get some sort of consistency going.

Pablo  Another loss in a final. Great year so...

Re: Berdych is withdrawing from OG

Oh come on, all the trolls like Brit Tennis Fan trashing the Olympic Games in this thread will probably be totally glued to them when they come on TV :p

Re: Milos Raonic withdraws from the Olympics

Yes, they will be sending in Nestor for doubles in his place.

Re: Milos Raonic withdraws from the Olympics

Ah well, better to send Nestor for doubles with Pospisil anyway, they might have a chance to medal.

Re: Wimbledon R4: [12] Tsonga d. [7] Gasquet 4-2 ret.

Richard was in complete agony beginning with the game at 3-2. He asked for the trainer but then after trying to return Jo's serve he decided it wouldn't make a difference and retired.

Jo was a...

Pooey saved tennis today, we did not need Tomitch in the QF. I really underestimated this young guy. He's a fighter and it will be interesting to see where he is at the end of the season.

I never expected Sam to pull this off. Especially since he was so flat coming back at 6-5 in the fourth. Great result for tennis - the draw is now wide open.

Re: Troicki vs Umpire Epic meltdown in Ramos match.

Serbian Woody Allen strikes again. :worship: If you showed non-tennis folk this clip, they'd probably think it was from a movie or something
Couldn't happen to a better person really :p

Re: Wimbledon R2: Dimitrov d. Simon 6-3 7-6(1) 3-6 6-4

Oh wow, Diva is actually playing well after not winning a single match since that disaster in Istanbul. Always good to see Simug knocked out of the tournament... That's 315 points down the drain...

Re: Thiem calls olympics an exhibition.

Thiem continues to make ignorant comments about the Olympics. Tennis was in the very first Olympic games back in 1896.... it fully deserves to be there.

He will probably be the only top 50 player...

Re: Wtaw (Gen. WTA Discussion) [Volume III]

No surprise to see Mugurza going out. It's so predictable that these first time slam champions go out early in the next slam. Plus, I think Mugurza is incredibly overrated and inconsistent. There's...

I wanna sue Simug for all the times I had to suffer while watching him trying to push and moonball his opponent to death :tape:

Re: Wimbledon R2: Mahut routines [13] Ferrer 6-1 6-4 6-3

 What a beatdown. If Farare can't vulture one of those summer clay MM's, his career is officially over.

^ I think some people automatically assume that all South American players are mugs on grass. Especially since most of them used to skip the entire grass season in past eras. But as we've seen...

Re: Wimbledon R1 Vesely d. Sijsling 6-2 6-4 7-6(7)

Igor :o Should have gotten that third set after so many set points, but an inevitable 1-6 or 2-6 in the 4th set would have been likely.
The fangirl in me keeps hoping he has a random R16/QF run at...

Re: Wimbledon 2R: [3] Federer d. [Q] Willis, 6–0, 6–3, 6–4

I guess people are stuck in the past, he's lost lots of weight since then. Sure, he could probably lose a bit more, but it's always nice to have something to hold onto.

His gf is really...

Funky Flo
Bad draw for him, even if he beat Thiem already. At least he'll always have Halle.

Re: Wimbledon R1 Del Potro def. Robert 6-1 7-5 6-0

Oh Delpo :hearts: I love seeing him win matches like this. My dream would be for him to have a surprise title run here like Ivanisevic in 2001.
