Re: Why does Andy Murray do better on faster courts?

Because low bounce surfaces are better for pushers. Playing against a pusher in low bounce courts is tough, you shoud not noly give strength to the ball, but raise it.

Re: Wimbledon R1: Steve Darcis def. [5] Rafael Nadal 7-6 (4) 7-6 (8) 6-4

Strategic tank for MC 2014, no?

Nope.
Seriously, Nadal is done as a tennis player, he is a shadow of himself. He keeps winnig on clay due to his aura, nothing more.
Two grass slams and three...

Re: Who will be the finalist from the bottom half?

It's clay:confused:. It's bizarre how people can vote Berdych, Tsonga and the like.

Re: WWW ? Madrid QF : Nadal - Ferrer

Vulture to ferrerize Nadal in two.

Rafa was not moving well against Youzhny. He played with pain, couldn't hit a BH and barely reaching those dropshots...

Re: Doping in Tennis Thread (No accusations without proof)

Maybe you mistook Nadal with Barca.

Nadal runs like a rabbit, because he lacks the quality to win only with his strokes.

But every team playing against Barca do run a lot more, because Barca...

Re: Doping in Tennis Thread (No accusations without proof)

IMO those who trhowed the suspicion are the main suspects. They run a lot more a grind more and they have a former RSOC (and Premier) player.

Re: Doping in Tennis Thread (No accusations without proof)

Could somebody explain why the major spanish success in sports came AFTER the time Fuentes was arrested (2006). It's amusiing than until 2006 our national football team were so bad, and now everybody...

Re: DC Final : Stepanek def. Almagro 6-4 7-6(0) 3-6 6-3 (Czechs win the Davis Cup)

Actually Nico was very poor vs. Step: bad strategy, no serve, no FH... The match against Berdych was not bad, I had a glimmer of hope.

Anyway, congratulations to the Czech, being Davis Champs is a...

Re: Davis Cup F: Berdych def. Almagro 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-7(5) 6-3 (CZE: ESP 1-1)

Until 4th set Nico was the better player today. He was too tired at the 5th, he's not Ferru.

Anyway, Spain will win this, sorry for the Czech.

Re: "Speed up the courts and general court speed Thread"

Yes, faster courts would benefit Federer against the 3 other TOP 4, but he would face many problems against random ballbashers and servebots. (Fed himself complained about that some time ago, I can't...

Re: "Speed up the courts and general court speed Thread"

Let's take into account than these days tennis players are more athletic, so they can defend balls that years ago were winners. This seems take no effect on clay. Now clay appears to be faster, there...

Re: Best Masters 1000 of 2012?

But speeding HC so much could be too advantageous for the tall big servers of these days... One solution is moving WTF to Madrid (HC indoor, of course). Altitude should give you a bit more of speed...

Re: Best Masters 1000 of 2012?

Sorry guys but choosing Madrid is childish. That joke surface could be right for a circus, not a tennis match. I can't denny that it was "interesting", but no real clay tennis.

I picked Rome...
