Re: Rewatching the AO Final fifth set (hindsight is 20/20)

Like I said, Nadal got one rest day, the standard in GS scheduling. Complaining about scheduling doesn't really make sense in that situation, that should be enough for a player to recover. Another...

Re: Rewatching the AO Final fifth set (hindsight is 20/20)

The way Roger has played this year, it's always on his racket against Rafa. That was the case also at the AO. No matter how well-rested Rafa would've been, Roger would have found a way to win. If...

Re: Rewatching the AO Final fifth set (hindsight is 20/20)

One rest day less is such a lame excuse. Semis on Friday, final on Sunday is the standard. Yeah, Federer had one more rest day but his game is also less physical, so he would've probably been fine...

Re: Shanghai Final: [2] Federer def. [1] Nadal 6-4 6-3

Great match by Roger. #2 in the rankings but the player to beat for everybody on the tour.

Re: The ATP NEEDS to stop slowing down the courts

I'd definitely like if there was a good balance of fast, medium-fast, medium-slow, and slow surfaces. But that's just not how it works.

These days almost every sport is doing something to "improve...

Re: Where do you want to have a house?

1. Somewhere in California: California is the American state I want to visit the most. I might even like to live there. I mean, nice climate, no language problems. Don't really know if I'd prefer...

Re: 16 Personalities Test

There are no rules.

This trait determines how we interact with our environment.

Re: Madrid and Rome to become mini slams

It's the market that dictates which surface tournaments use. I don't see the number of grass events increasing a lot; outside the Wimbledon preparation, most players prefer HC or clay, and grass...

Re: Center Court Speed comparison

As the tournament organizers keep on adjusting the court pace, at least I wish they went for something that kept up the excitement.

Maybe some casual fans find long rallies of pushing exciting,...

Your least favorite GS tournament?

I treat the four GS tournaments as equal in their importance, though I have some personal preferences. Wimbledon is my favorite; the most traditional one, still on grass, the fastest major (despite...

Re: Which political party do you support?

Liberal conservative probably describes me the best. My opinions on economics are quite liberal and also in other areas of life I support individual freedom (and responsibility). I still have quite...

Re: Is Nole Slam massively underrated?

In this era of homogenized surfaces, the Grand Slam is no longer the challenge it was still in the 90s.

Novak's NCYGS is very much comparable to Agassi's CGS in the 90s.

Re: What language(s) would you like to study MOST?

I still want to improve my German, to understand it with ease and to be able to communicate better in German. But to learn a new language, it'd probably be Italian, French, Spanish, or Portuguese.

Re: faster grass expected for friday and sunday?

I don't think faster conditions would make any of the remaining players a favorite against Federer. Roger excels in fast conditions. If anything, big-hitting guys' best chance to beat Roger is in...

Re: Is it possible that Federer win Wimbledon 2017 and retire right away?

For sure Roger wants to play the US Open, regardless of the result at Wimbledon. You can see how he enjoys playing and nothing implies he's on a farewell tour.

Maybe if he wins the #8 at Wimbledon...

Re: Wimbledon R4: [16]G. Muller def. [4]R. Nadal 6-3 6-4 3-6 4-6 15-13

In tennis, it doesn't matter how well you played in 3rd and 4th, or 1st and 2nd sets, if you can't win the final set.

Muller was the better player in the 5th. Apart from that game where Nadal had...

Re: Wimbledon R4: [16]G. Muller def. [4]R. Nadal 6-3 6-4 3-6 4-6 15-13

NAD 2-3 MUL | Rafael Nadal - Gilles Muller (;5)

Not an official site above but also shows 5 BPs for both in the fifth.

Re: Wimbledon R4: [16]G. Muller def. [4]R. Nadal 6-3 6-4 3-6 4-6 15-13

Both had 5 BPs in the final set, Muller would've had a sixth had he not converted the fifth. Yes, Nadal had four in one game, Muller had his BP/MPs in three games.

Re: Presidential elections in France - Second round: May 7 (Macron vs. Le Pen)

An extreme nationalist vs. a Eurotard is my nightmare scenario.

Nationalism is hardly ever a good thing, globalization can benefit all parties involved.

You can achieve great things with the...

Re: Federer: Monte Carlo and Rome

I don't really care about Roger missing the chance for those elusive titles; if this helps Roger to win a GS title, then I'm sure he'll happily miss some M1000s.

I hope he'll still do well at RG....

Re: Rate Masters In Prestige

None of the M1000s is really more important than the others. IW is the leading M1000 in many ways but if you went through a cakewalk draw to win it, it'd be seen less worthy than winning e.g. Paris...

Re: Indian Wells R4: Federer def. Nadal 6-2 6-3

He's surely a Fedtard in disguise, constantly jinxing Nadal.
