Re: Bud Collins Profile interview, what a legend.

Thanks for the read, it was interesting learning more about this great writer. I have highest regards for Collins. I remember importing his Tennis Encyclopedia around 1997 and spending hours after...

Re: Munich R2: Mr. 'Artist' Petzschner guns down Colonel Youzhny 7-6(5), 3-6, 6-2

When he's on, Petzschner is a joy to watch. Some great combinations but he has to give credit to the rain which really annoyed Youzhny. Quite funny sometimes, the sky thundering and Youzhny shouting....

Re: 16 Germans in top125 but none of them looks ...

German Men's Tennis these days is really a bit strange. Almost every week there's a player in the Quarters or beating favored players (like this week in Munich Brown/Wawrinka, Petzschner/Youzhny) but...

Re: Indianapolis Round 1 - Tommy Haas Beats Jesse Levine 7-6 6-2

A Must-Win for Haas. Next is Isner who has beaten him in the two previous meetings (three sets), I hope Haas won't fail another time. Although I think his days as a Top Ten Player are over, he's...

Re: Halle Final WWW: Roger Federer vs. Philipp Kohlschreiber

Be sure, my knowledge of the sport is not that bad.
But after his straight set-loss to Wawrinka at the French combined with his overall results during the last weeks it wasn't that predictable.

Re: Halle SF: Kohlschreiber def. Blake 6-3, 7-5

Second final of the year for Kohlschreiber, also the second in Germany. I hope he can make one round or another in Wimbledon.

@Federer's german: I never had a problem understanding Federer, his...

Re: Halle Final WWW: Roger Federer vs. Philipp Kohlschreiber

If Kohlschreiber can manage to win at least four games in a set he should consider the match a good performance.
I didn't expect him in the final at all.
A Victory would give Federer his tenth Grass...

Re: RG R1: Djokovic def. Gremelmayr 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2

With a better serve Gremelmayr could make it to the Top 40. However, taking off a set from Federer a couple of weeks ago and now Djokovic isn't that bad either.

Re: Duesseldorf RR - Kohlschreiber def. Starace 6/2 7/6

Solid Result. Hope that Kohlschreiber gets a decent draw for Roland Garros. After losing his Points for Munich he's just outside the seeds.

Re: Who Will Win Rolland Garros 2008?

Nadal is still the first choice.
But maybe Davydenko fools everyone and wins the final versus Wawrinka...

Re: Casablanca R1: Boris Pashanski (SRB) def. Benjamin Becker (GER) 2:6 6:3 7:6(3)

Nox unexpected. Becker and clay do not match (even back in the 90s). Maybe BB can win some matches on grass.

Re: lieblingsspieler

Hallo Hallo. Ist ja wenig los hier aber vielleicht ändert sich das ja noch.

Meine Lieblingsspieler: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal (langweilig, ich weiß), Nicolas Kiefer, Sebastien Grosjean

Re: Phillip Kohlschreiber cheering thread

6:1 6:0 against David Ferrer, who's mind was very far from the court.
I hope Philipp will do better at the WTC than in the last two years when he only managed to win one match.

Six years ago it was...

Re: Hamburg F: Rafa Nadal Def. Roger Federer 7-5 6-7 6-3

Ok, but it isn't really that special having a big final lasting more than two hours (as the Hamburg Coverage was scheduled) so they could have planned three hours of coverage right from the beginning.

Re: Hamburg F: Rafa Nadal Def. Roger Federer 7-5 6-7 6-3

I don't think it was live (switched the TV off after the anouncement) but "aus der Konserve". At least it was sport and not some stupid quiz like many times before.

Re: Hamburg F: Rafa Nadal Def. Roger Federer 7-5 6-7 6-3

Very strange Match.
Funny coincidence, tough: Last year Federer snapped Nadals clay court-streak, this year it's Nadal who snaps Federers Germany-streak.

Speaking of Germany: The Television...

Re: WTC: Kohlschreiber thumps Ferrer 6-1 6-0 / GER-ESP 1-0

It's hard to judge but maybe Kohlschreiber's right. There were moments in the match where I thought Ferrer is really unconfortable being out there. But then sometimes it seemed as if he didn't care...
