Re: WWW: DC Semi Djokovic vs. Raonic?

Yep. And this could be an epic 5 set choking contest.

Re: DC play-offs Erlich/Ram (ISR) d. Darcis/Rochus 6-3 5-7 1-6 7-5 6-3

Maybe my assumption was incorrect, but how is one time "always"? Did you see me do it before?

Re: Endless Federer-Nadal debates

Compared to the poll question and options, the actual arguments here are pure gold
For reasons given here countless times, H2H is not a big factor in "who's greater" debate.
And in any...

Re: DC play-offs Erlich/Ram (ISR) d. Darcis/Rochus 6-3 5-7 1-6 7-5 6-3

I'd like to think you're happy for them, but I very much doubt you'd give a f*** about this result if it wasn't for some singles match Darcis played recently.

Re: DC play-offs Erlich/Ram (ISR) d. Darcis/Rochus 6-3 5-7 1-6 7-5 6-3

They even had a 4th SP at that game. At that point Andy just went AWOL and for two sets (until mid 4th) couldn't literally put a ball in court, for the most part missing everything by a wide margin....

Re: Most aces hit in a match (more than 30)

Rosset had 48 aces and 30 DF (all-time record, at least until the claim about Ham Richardson's USO 1955 match can be verified) in his loss to Clement, DC 2001.
Obviously, the only 30-30 match :)

Re: U.S. Open QF: (1) Novak Djokovic vs (21) Mikhail Youzhny

At least 4 obsolete options in the poll.

Re: USO R4: Djokovic d. Granollers 63 60 60

Like a race between a Ferrari and a bicycle.

Granollers won 9 points in the 2nd set, then 6 points in the 3rd, and most of those were Nole donations. I don't think he had one winner in either....

Re: USO 2013 R4: Ironman Robredo breezes past Federer 7-6 6-3 6-4

It wasn't just not converting the BPs (in the last two sets Fed was 0/12, Robredo 2/2 :tape: ).
It was the manner in which he missed some of them. Complete choking. And the decision making, or lack...

It should probably go in this page 2 post ( which needs...

Re: DC Playoff: Weintraub def. Soeda 6-3 7-6(5) 4-6 6-3; ISR def JAP 3-2

Great win and amazing weekend for Amir :worship:
It's hard to understand how he's barely top 200 when you see him in Davis.

He played superbly until 6-3 4-3*, with Soeda 0/8 on BP at that point,...

Re: Wimbledon SF: Murray def. Tsonga 63 64 36 75

Expected result, but he hadn't done nothing yet.

Re: Roland Garros R2 : Mathieu def. Isner 6-7(2) 6-4 6-4 3-6 18-16

Obviously, because as you say they played over 60 games and about 5 hours up to that point, almost like the second day vs Mahut, yet when it got to 10-10 you couldn't help wondering what we are going...

Re: World Group Play-offs: Canada at Israel (September 16-18, 2011)

(ISR)Sela def. (CAN)Polanski 6-3 6-3 6-3
(CAN)Pospisil def. (ISR)Weintraub 6-2 7-6(3) 6-4

3-2 CANADA

Congrats to Canada, Pospisil really stepped it up in the big points, although he...

Re: US Open Final - Melzer/Petzschner d. Fyrstenberg/Matkowski 6-2, 6-2

That was a clinic by Melzer and Petzschner, they were 4-0 after just 8 minutes with the loss of a single point I think.
A pity Petzschner had to revert to cheating, that was terrible sportsmanship...

Re: USO R1: Dudi Sela df Thomas Belluci 4-6 2-6 6-4 6-3 6-0

Epic comeback :worship: I really can't recall the last time an Israeli came back from two sets down in a major, if it has happened at all.

That's where he's been playing his best tennis for years...

Re: Federer's long tie-breaks and attempt to diversify TB-nomenclature

No need for the last sub-category, better is "Tie-breaks between: 17-15 and 20-18 - Marathonic tie-breaks (5-6 changes of ends)"
But if you're going to do a breakdown of other top...

Re: DC: Hero Chardy wins tie, batters Fischer 2-6 7-6(4) 6-3 6-3

Re: DC: Isner Masterfully chokes to Capdeville 7-6 7-6 6-7 6-7 4-6

Isn't it illegal to put up a topic with a scoreline like that without the TB scores in brackets? ;)

Paul Capdeville - John Isner 6-7(5) 6-7(2) 7-6(3) 7-6(5) 6-4

Duration: 4 hours 21 minutes...

Re: DC: Erlich/Ram def. Fyrstenberg/Matkowski 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-1 (Israel 3-0 Poland)

It was known about 2 weeks ago he won't come.
According to one local report, he's not fully recovered from his injury.

DC: Erlich/Ram def. Fyrstenberg/Matkowski 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-1 (Israel 3-0 Poland)

Brilliant performance from Andyoni, the kind that we haven't seen on tour since Yoni's elbow injury. Easily looked like a top 10 pair again.
Volley, cross-court passes, DTL, lobs (Andy), dropshots...

Re: Amir Weintraub (257) df Janowicz (150) 4:6, 6:2, 6:2, 6:7, 6:3

Big, big point in this tie, considering the form of Andyoni as opposed to Fyrstenberg/Matkowski.
Our team we'll surely win at least one of the singles matches on Sunday, probably both.

Much like...

Re: Davis Cup regelation tie: Israel v Austria 2-3

Levy went AWOL when Fischer raised his game in the middle of the 2nd set. It was a lot like his implosion against Bjorkman in the deciding rubber in early '08, there he won the opening set 6-0...
