Re: WWW Davis Cup: (2-1) GB vs. AUS. Andy Murray vs. Bernard Tomic

As much as it would be an attractive thought to have Lleyton play the singles, he played a 5 setter yesterday, big ask.

Equally, Andy has has played 2 matches, the last 5 sets......maybe Tomic has...

Re: USO R2: [24] Tomic def. [WC] Hewitt, 6-3 6-2 3-6 5-7 7-5 (saves 2 MP)

Great match for Hewitt's last appearance at Flushing Meadows. He never gives up, good lesson for Bernard, I really hope he learns from that match.

Re: Kyrgios has still not apologised to Warwinka

If she was 30 and he was 41, it wouldn't be a problem, but she has just turned 19, she's a teenager, huge difference at this end of her life.....that is 58% of her life so far.

Re: WWW DC SF: Great Britain v Australia

I suspect Tomic will be back and the singles will be Tomic and Kyrgios, doubles Hewitt and Groth.

Re: BREAKING: HEWITT IN For Kokkinakis, to play Nedovyesov

To be fair to Kokkinakis and Kyrgios this statement is just not true, they bear-hugged him and were very excited. Hewitt gets on with both guys. Kyrgios didn't look happy with Masur's comments, but...

Re: Will Tennis Australia really play Kyrgios and Kokkinakis again?

Well Groth won the first set and it's on serve in the second, so seems like a good decision so far. Hewitt practising, so he may turn up for the final rubber if Groth wins pressure at...

Re: Stuttgart R2: Haas Vs Tomic

Love Hass, but I think Tomic will win this.

Re: Hertogenbosch R1: Mahut df Hewitt 6-3,6-4

He is retiring after 2016 AO, I suppose there is an argument that he should have retired this year, but after all these years slogging around the world, he deserves to do it his way.

Re: Does YOUR home country care about or even know about Davis Cup?

This is Australia, we'd watch two ants crawling up a wall!

Re: Most badly behaved player of all time?

I voted McEnroe, but Connors would be a close second.

Chela was omitted, spitting at an opponent is pretty disgusting imo.

Re: If you could have one tennis wish come true, what would it be?

Not going to happen, but mine would be for Lleyton Hewitt to win The Australian Open befor he retires next year.

Re: DB R2: Karlovic def. Kokkinakis 7-6(4) 7-6(2)

The score line says that Kokkinakis pushed him though. He's 18, long way to go yet.

Re: Kyrgios is the real deal.

All these young players have the potential to become great, all depends on hard work and keeping their bodies healthy.

Kyrgios is highly motivated (an area Tomic doesn't seem to be able to...

Re: Smycek: "That was his C or D game, and he found a way to win. That's why he's one

Rafa looks really sick. There have been some odd viruses going around in Melbourne in the last month, looks like he's managed to pick one up.

Re: Australian Open R3: Bernard Tomic vs Sam Groth

Most likely Tomic, but if Groth's serve is on song he may cause an upset.

Probably Tomic in 4

Re: Kyrgios is the real deal.

Good analysis.

The media have not done him any favours in Australia, always desperate to find the next Hewitt, they have built him up prior to the AO, putting him under an enormous amount of...

Re: Australian Open R2: Nadal def. Smyczek 6-2 3-6 6-7(2) 6-3 7-5

Haven't read this entire thread, but Rafa looked really sick. He complained of dizziness in his post match press conference and he looked and sounded ill. Probably has a virus, affecting his middle...

Re: AO 1st Round - Groth d. Krajinovic 6-3 7-6 6-4

Re: AO R1: [WC] Kokkinakis def. [11] Gulbis 5-7 6-0 1-6 7-6(2) 8-6 [4MP saved]

Kokkinakis is much more likable than Kyrgios, but the media will probably ensure that he becomes just as painful as Tomic and Kyrgios.
The crowd conducted themselves as though it was a soccer match,...

Re: Who can save tennis from another Djokovic-Nadal AO final?

Djokovic insists he has recovered from illness, but speculation is rife as he didn't practice yesterday.

Re: Sydney R2: Tomic def Kohlschreiber 6-3, 6-4

He's only 21, bit tough to say 'what has he ever done'!

He is talented, but whether he has the fortitude to work hard enough to achieve his potential remains to be seen.

By the way, for all...
