Re: A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Period.

To be fair, the players themselves rarely make excuses (there are one or two exceptions) - it's the fans on here who come up with the excuses. Or sometimes they are just trying to explain the reason...

Re: The Live ATP Rankings Thread

I use Slasher's spreadsheets several times a week. I keep my own very small spreadsheet - basically top 50 - just as a mental excercise. I do it manually, no clever formulae. So I check several times...

Re: Any other Murray fans feel extremely frustrated about this season?

I can't give you any more reps so I'll just quote your post and say, I agree completely.

Re: TennisTV Special Offer

The other advantage of tennistv is that you can watch matches on catch-up. Ideal when the time zones mean you can't watch live.

Re: Has the Nishikori hype-train completely derailed?

Yes, Murray seed 1 and Nishikori seed 2 - so it wouldn't be until the final, if they both get there.

Re: Hamburg R2: Bedene def. Bautista Agut 7-6(2) 7-6(7)

Yes, beat him in Chennai in January, he would still be playing as Slovenian (?is that the word?) then. But of course he was training and living here for years.

Re: The Live ATP Rankings Thread

I don't have any problem accessing Slasher's spreadsheets, I use them all the time - and recommend them to others on other forums. I have the link bookmarked, so just one click and I'm there -...

Re: WWW? Hamburg R1: Garcia-Lopez vs. Munar

No poll option for a retirement? Lol

Re: Hamburg R1: [3] RBA def. Coric 6-3,6-4

He is 18, for goodness' sake. He hasn't had time to "prove" anything yet.

Re: Hamburg R1: (WC) Munar def. (7) Garcia-Lopez 1-2 ret.

The tournament's own website draw page gives Munar as the winner - which clot was responsible for that tweet, I wonder?

Re: Hamburg R1: (WC) Munar def. (7) Garcia-Lopez 1-2 ret.

Weird. The livescore completed matches and the ATP results page both have Munar winning by retirement. I suspect the tweet is a mistake, not the results.

Re: Hamburg R1: [3] RBA def. Coric 6-3,6-4

He is #41 in the Race, which does not include the two "big wins", so he must be doing something right.

Re: If Del Potro had won the SF's of the W 2013 and faced Murray in the Finals....

I never mentioned straight sets. I just think, on grass in a 5-setter, Murray's slices would wear the big man down. It's all speculation anyway.

Re: If Del Potro had won the SF's of the W 2013 and faced Murray in the Finals....

Murray has never had much trouble with Del Potro. He leads the H2H 5-2, the two JMDP won were on Madrid Clay in 2009 (before Andy learned how to play on clay ;) ) and in Indian Wells in 2013. IW has...

Re: Binghamton CH F: [1] Edmund def. [2] Fratangelo 6-2 6-3

A few days off then training for Washington may not be a bad thing.

Re: Binghamton CH F: [1] Edmund def. [2] Fratangelo 6-2 6-3

Anybody who has been through the correct process to receive British Citizenship is legally British. You may not think it's a good thing, but it's a fact - so to say he is not British is just plain...

Re: Bogota Slam F: Tomic def. Mannarino 6-1 3-6 6-2

He was arrested for trespass, not for being drunk. He can't have been drunk, he hasn't won a slam yet.

Re: Binghamton CH F: [1] Edmund def. [2] Fratangelo 6-2 6-3

He is now - where have you been? He is the current GB #2.

If you don't agree you had better contact the ATP - that's what he is on their rankings list!

Re: Binghamton CH F: [1] Edmund def. [2] Fratangelo 6-2 6-3

Good week for him. He's going in the right direction for sure; I think he has a chance to be the Brit #2 by the end of the year, or at least close to Bedene in the rankings.

Re: Dimitrov:"This is the summer of the new beginning. The results will soon be seen"

I've still seen nothing to confirm any tie-up with Lendl, just one photograph with both of them in it.

Re: Is Yoshito Nishioka a victim of heightism?

I'm confused. References in posts seem to be about a match between Yoshihito Nishioka and Auger Aliassime, but the video I'm getting is between him and the Brit Edmund back in January?

Re: Old News: the 'big 4' is Nadal, Djokovic, Wawrinka, Federer.

So I can't count.

It doesn't make the point any less viable. It was a heck of a long time to hold the #4 position in the rankings, and is why the term came to be used about these four players.

Re: WWW DC SF: Great Britain v Australia

I can't see it being anything but hard court when it follows straight after the hard court USO and precedes the hard court Asian Swing. Especially as Andy has problems changing surfaces.
