Re: Has Mario Ancic Retired?

Mono can vary in severity. Fed must have had a pretty mild case of it, and Ancic has/had a really intense case. It doesn't make Federer a liar.

Re: Nadal defeats Federer 7-5 3-6 7-6(3) 3-6 6-2 to win Australian Open 2009

Awesome match, and result. I don't think there's anything wrong with Federer crying...but there's nothing wrong with people laughing at it either. He's a 27, 28? year old man...who lost a...

1. We don't have to show "gratitude" to post here, its not like the members are LETTING us post here until our board is back up.

2. I like mens tennis just as much...

Re: TennisForum/WTAWorld Chat Thread :) Just for the time being...

Re: I simply cannot believe the amount of hate for Roger Federer in this forum

Muffin. If it bugs you so much, don't post. And if listing his accomplishments makes you feel better, you need a life.

Re: Why are people so happy Roddick beat Federer

Keep saying it. I'm really not a big Roddick fan, just responding to someone who insults his game when he's beaten the worlds top 3 this year and won more tournaments than Roger and Rafa.

Re: Roddick defeats Federer 7-6(4) 4-6 6-3

Mono doesn't ALWAYS affect you for a year, or even 3 months. I had mono at the beginning of the school year two years ago and within a month I was back in shape and not feeling the effects. Obviously...

Re: Why are people so happy Roddick beat Federer

What a whiny bitch. It says a lot that Fed the genius was beaten by a serve.

Re: What does everyone think of unlimited challenges for the DC final?

I think that although most players will honor it, some will abuse the heck out of it just because thats the way they are. I immediately thought of Kiefer, which may not be fair, but he strikes me as...

Re: Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year, 2007

I cant believe how crass people can be when their favorite athlet isn't nominated for an American magazine's athlete of the year. :o

Yes, we know you (non-north americans) dont like football. Or...

Re: Roger Federer Beats Pete Sampras 6:4, 6:3

Really? At least he didn't look like an extra on the set of Brokeback Mountain *cough* Roger *cough*. :tape:

Re: Indian Wells SF: Nadal vs. Roddick

They're two of my favorite players to root for and watch, so I dont care who wins as long as they win the final.

Re: Frank Dancevic beats Hanescu [6-3,6-3,7-6(3)]

Awesome win. Hopefully Frank can take advantage of Lleyton's spotty play and use his serve to good effect.

Re: Forced Error V. Winner

The most obvious example of a 'forced error' I can think of is when player A serves, and player B just barely gets their racket on the ball. It's an error, but definately forced by the powerful...

Re: Some players reactions about the RR format

One question: have players been asked why they are opposed to RR in regular events, but aren't opposed to it in Shanghai/end of year championships? I hate the new RR format, but I was just wondering...

Re: Who can trouble Nadal at the French Open 2007?

Although I don't profess to be an expert on Berdych...it seems that he should be able to trouble Nadal for a few sets, but I don't know if I could see him taking 3 sets off Rafa in Paris. Obviously...

Re: Roland Garros 2006 and Wimbledon 2006 Finals, detailed and point of view 4 Loremaster

Carlos, I'm dissapointed in you man. This doesn't prove anything, except that Nadal is better on clay and Federer is better on grass - which we knew. Yes, if Fed plays an awesome match he'll most...

Re: *~~*.Roger FEDERER in SLOW motion or Tiger WOODS best SHOTS-> which is more exciting?

Definately Federer. Tiger's shots - to me, a golf fan but in no way an expert - all look the same. Though it is quite impressive to hit such a tiny ball with killer accuracy. I think tennis players...

Re: And the potential Micky Mouse tournaments are.......

Uh, what happens when a player plays 1 match lets say, then withdraw due to injury. Does he count as a win for everyone else he has yet to play in his group? Or do they just ignore it?

Re: Pete Sampras: The Most Overrated Player of all time

:tape: Vogus what an awful thread. Your wta posts at least are based on facts most of the time, but half of this is bitching, moaning, and speculation. You sound like a woman.

Re: Sunday OOP and Scores

Uh, chill out much? He never said anything negative, just that it's ridiculous how GOOD Federer is. Which is true. That's more of a statement about Federer's talent than the quality of the field.

Re: Sunday OOP and Scores

 We agree on something. Roger is incredible to watch, but I just cant muster enough enthusiasm to cheer for him against even the players I hate.

Can you blame them? It gets rather boring seeing someone win so routinely, so often.

Re: Why men's tennis is behind women's.

Nope. At least, I wasn't basing my statements on ratings. Mens tennis is FAR better quality than women's nowadays, and pretty much since the original post in this thread was made. I still prefer...
