Re: Most Versatile and Adjustable Player of all time!

No. Federer is actually very stubborn and doesn't change much during the match. What he does do is grind out matches which seem pretty much impossible. Wimbledon 04 and 07 finals, FO semifinal with...

Re: Most Versatile and Adjustable Player of all time!

Borg. No question. He played completely different on clay, grass and hard you would think they were completely different players.

In terms of 'in-match' adjustments, Murray is pretty good. (this...

Re: Who IS The Better Player, Berdych or Tsonga?

Nalbandian's Wimbledon was a fluke, but seriously, the guy made all four slam semifinals. He was another player who was blessed with great ability, but great choking skills.

Re: Who IS The Better Player, Berdych or Tsonga?

Uh, this post screams 'I have no clue'. Tennis is about imposing your game on your opponent. Normally, the guy who is first to do this wins the match. JMDP has the more imposing weapons (Ferrer has...

Re: Which USO win was more impressive/deserving? Delpo or Murray?

Who did Murray beat before the finals? Lopez, a guy with one shot. Raonic? A guy with one shot, Cilic (choked but should have been up 2-0), Verdasco (a choker but was unlucky with some calls). Even...

Re: Murray`s negative attitude on court

There is a difference between rioting and hitting yourself in the face. Also, you might want to spell professional right when cracking wise-ass remarks online. Maybe you should chose to become a 'bin...

Re: Who are your favorite Mugs?

Hmm, honestly, I don't think Rosol could get any higher than 30 if he was consistent. He plays a very aggressive game, in a very defensive era (I also believe conditions will get slower too in the...

Re: Murray's career from now on...

Did you not see Djokovic's level of play improve when the wind died down? Then suddenly get worse when it came back? Are you seriously suggesting Berdych played as well as he did against Murray as he...

Re: Murray's career from now on...

Nadal not showing up.
Poor calls in the Verdasco match on big points.
Federer not making the finals.
Wind helping Murray against an on fire Berdych who plays Murray extremely well
Wind helping Murray...

Re: Which Player Is The Worst Scheduler On Tour?

Nadal; plays consistently, but also plays doubles and mixed doubles too.

*Proceeds to whine about how unfair the scheduling.....

Re: Murray's career from now on...

One slam win which was due to circumstance and the sky is the limit? Seriously? He needed the stars to align for his US Open win and still needed a lot of help in the final.

Yeah I live in Stapleton, but not a rovers fan, in fact, most of the rovers fans are only interested in getting into confrontations with the city crew.

Re: Why was carpet ended?

You train at the LTA? Heard it's pretty good, as far as courts are concerned in Bristol, I pretty much play on concrete down Eastville......Lol.

Yep, let's all ignore the rankings......

28th June - Rosol was the best player in the world.

See what I did there?

Re: Why was carpet ended?

My mistake.

Although I don't see why people are talking about Nadal; He's won titles on fast courts. It's not like the guy is winning solely on one surface. If anyone is to blame of the state of...

Re: Why was carpet ended?

Nadal actually won Madrid 2005 along with making the Paris finals in 2007. Back when they were carpet courts.

Re: Murray's career from now on...

Djokovic has won a slam and has made the finals of the FO and US Open, Federer has won a bunch of 1000 titles next to his Wimbledon title. Overall I'd say it's been pretty even, Murray has just came...

Re: Professor Johnny Groove's Top 55 players ever (Murray one slam away from making l

This post screams 'I never watched Krajicek play'. It's the general consensus that Krajicek was one of the most talented players of the 90's. At least he could volley, unlike many players today.

Krajicek is a one slam winner on a surface in which that time there were more than three capable players, do people also forget Krajicek had many injury problems, not to mention being bonkers on...

Re: Professor Johnny Groove's Top 55 players ever (Murray one slam away from making l

What an ignorant comment. So you're saying Moya and Gaudio are technically ahead of Krajicek because they have had better success on clay? Great to know.

May as well say Muster has more technical...

Re: Professor Johnny Groove's Top 55 players ever (Murray one slam away from making l

Hewitt was actually very close to beating Nadal on clay in 2007 and plays a lot differently to Murray - Hewitt hits on the rise, hits a better slice, hits a flatter ball and can change directions...
