Re: Sampras vs Nadal

Completely irrelevant, Nadal has several #2 years that were better than some of Sampras's #1 years.

Re: US Open Qualifying discussion

Nishioka :worship:

Tennis won big time on that one.

Re: When you remember Marin Cilic won the US Open...

A great day for tennis. Just a shame Nishikori was too tired and overwhelmed by the occasion to make the final the contest it deserved to be, but seeing Cilic win a Slam was great. And he did it in...

Re: Suicide Tennis US Open

Top Half goes first, so these are the matches you can pick from for day 1:

Djokovic vs Souza
Pospisil vs Haider-Maurer
Gabashvili vs Andujar
Paul vs Seppi
Bautista Agut vs Herbert
Janowicz vs...

Re: Why tennis needs Nadal to get back to his best!!!

Fedtards seem to be particularly irritable and moany this tournament; all this moaning about drawing Murray in SF, who Federer has been routinely spanking for about 2 years now (10 sets in a row, is...

Re: Your most enjoyable tennis result as a neutral fan

del Potro, Nishikori, Berdych, Tsonga, etc... massacring Ferrer, Boredo, RBA, etc... every time is always enjoyable.

I'm a 100% unbiased analyst of the game, so I'm a neutral on every match. It...

Re: WWW US Open R1: (3) Murray - Kyrgios?

This is different to every other match they played because it's R1 of a Slam. The top seeds are used to slowly working their way into the tournament against inept opposition, the last time a top...

Re: Is this David Ferrer's best chance to win the US Open?

So no excuses after an infinitely more talented player like say Albot, Cilic or Nishikori destroys him as always?

Re: Is this David Ferrer's best chance to win the US Open?

Same topic every Slam

If Albot plays well and doesn't choke, he will put an end to his fluke run before it even begins.

Re: WWW US Open R1: (3) Murray - Kyrgios?

I think this will be way more competitive than most people seem to be anticipating, especially if it's played under the lights on Arthur Ashe.

WWW USO R1: Benoit Paire vs Kei Nishikori

Sumptuous matchup with the two best attacking double-handed backhands in tennis on display. Draw from hell for both of them of course.

I think Nishikori will win in 4 sets.

Re: If Delpo's wrists had stayed 100% healthy, how many Slams do you think he'd have?

You probably missed the part where 2 of those 5 consecutive wins happened at the US Open back to back to claim the title.

Re: Who has the hardest draw of the top 4 seeds?

Nishikori's by far. No surprises there

Re: If Delpo's wrists had stayed 100% healthy, how many Slams do you think he'd have?

But it was.

When he first left the game in early 2010, he had won 3 matches in a row vs Nadal and 2 in a row vs Federer (after pushing him to the brink at the FO), including the back to back...

Re: Djokovic's level at US Open 2010 Final - Underrated?

Yes. Djokovic played an excellent final and was obscenely clutch, he just came up short against a Nadal who was striking the ball as viciously as ever and serving huge to boot. Unplayable.

This was...

Backhand of Doom is the ultimate authority on all things No1e. Whatever he says on the matter becomes fact.

Re: If Delpo's wrists had stayed 100% healthy, how many Slams do you think he'd have?

As the massive No1e fan you are, do you believe a healthy del Potro could have turned No1e into No2e?

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 24

Tsonga has turned into a mug on break points this year :o That said, he shouldn't even playing this tournament with the US Open coming next week so oh well

Re: If Delpo's wrists had stayed 100% healthy, how many Slams do you think he'd have?

In case you didn't notice, this is a hypothetical thread. The thread is 'how many Slams would del Potro have won without injuries?', not 'How many Slams has del Potro won?'. You seem to be answering...

No one has won the US Open in this game yet, hopefully that changes this year.

It's my first time managing a Suicide Tennis tournament, I'm hoping to see a massive turnout here. Good luck everyone...
