Re: Roland Garros (just one last match to play on the dirt...) [CHEERING THREAD]

patchett thanks for the wonderful description! I do not get to watch the matches here :(.

I have not been around for a while so I have to get all of this out: Wow. He did quite well in the...

Re: Tursunov destroys GGL 7-6(4) 6-0 6-0

Great win for Dima. I was very surprised by the score in the final two sets. I hope he continues to play consistently in the next round.

Re: Duesseldorf RR: Tursunov def. Kiefer 6-4, 3-6, 7-5

I'm glad Tursunov won, but surprised he beat Kiefer. Kiefer had great form playing in Hamburg.

So, I have a silly question. How do you pronounce "davai"?

Re: Roland Garros (just one last match to play on the dirt...) [CHEERING THREAD]

I was nearly excited when I saw this too :), and then I was like: wait, it's on clay . So I will hope that he takes full advantage of a qualifier in the 1st round, but I am trying not to...

Re: Robredo def. Kohlschreiber, 2-6 7-6(5) 6-3

I never said there was anything wrong with Kohls protesting the call, I would fully expect him to.

There is a difference between "what is right" and "the rules," tennis players need only conform...

Re: Robredo def. Kohlschreiber, 2-6 7-6(5) 6-3

The way I see this, the ump just made a mistake. It happens, they're human.

Robredo's behavior was not the most becoming, but, after all, his job is not to have the most becoming behavior but to...

Re: Daylight robbery in Hamburg - Boredo cheats his way past Kohli 2-6 7-6(5) 6-3

Yeah, that mistake really surprised me. He even said he had made the incorrect call (good), but because he made the call, it had to stick--even though he corrected himself. Very fortunate for...

Re: Tursunov went ballistic in his doubles match.

Just an observation, sometimes who players are on court is not who they are off court.

Re: Hamburg (more clay... *sigh*) [CHEERING THREAD]

Hi! I've never posted here before.

Just wanted to drop in and say I hope he does well against Murray. Murray is extremely unpredictably lately; it is entirely possible he could win.

Re: The "Yay, Let's Just be 100% Healthy at RG, k?" Clay Season Thread

I hope he gets better quickly. And I would rather he be healthy for RG then try to force too many tournaments (but since this is clay, I suppose that is not too much of a concern).

Re: Wawrinka def, Roddick 3:0 (ret.)

Too bad for Roddick; hopefully he recovers quickly.

Wawrinka was not the Swiss player I thought would be in the final. Good for him.

Re: "Still Undefeated Clay Prince" Roddick def. "Last Italian Hope" Bolelli 7-6(5) 6-

Roddick thinks he's a claycourter. :p :)

It was a good win. Maybe he can build on it a little.

Re: Rome 2nd round: Ferrero def. Nadal 7-5 6-1

JCF played some amazing tennis in that match.

Nadal had a nasty cut on his foot; that may have hampered his mobility.

Anyway, good win for Ferrerro.

Re: Roma R2: "Undefeated on clay in 2008" Roddick def. Fish 6-1 6-4

It's a better start to the clay season for Roddick than I thought he would have.

Re: Murray threatens legal action against fan site

While it is legally permitted that they ask for the removal of the pictures, the method does seem over bearing. I hope, and believe, that Andy does not actually know about this. It would be...
