Re: Who's your all time favorite player from the each of the following countries?

I can't remember if I've replied to this thread before?

Re: Roger news and articles

Oh my Gosh, what loyal following, what genuine lyrical rhetoric, what must I say, quite impressed. Thank you for sharing such a personal, yet public passion of yours. Thank you for your commitment...

Re: Federer's racquet switch was a mistake!

He still was not hitting his usual forehand even at the WTC, and it too was missing for much of the DC. Hopefully he will find a balance and confidence with his forehand with the new racket. Shanghai...

Re: Federer and Agassi are the only players win it all

I know and as "lacking" and limited as Roddick's game was, his grittiness and fighting spirit made him a worthy competitor. American tennis on the ATP tour seems all but non-existent.

Re: Federer's racquet switch was a mistake!

I am veering toward thinking its more a matter of general decline and not having the confidence yet with the new racket in hitting his traditionally free swinging devastating forehand.

Re: Djokovic vs Nadal on hard courts - is it really advantage Djokovic?

Precisely, this is partly due to Roger, as Roger has one of the best backhand slices and this proved effective against Novak. In here we see how Nadal realized that the typical high heavy forehand to...

Re: Djokovic vs Nadal on hard courts - is it really advantage Djokovic?

I would say so, especially on lower bouncing hard courts like the U.S Open. Moreover, to Nadal's chagrin Novak's backhand does not mind the high bouncing forehand to his backhand as much, so that...

Re: Slowing down the surfaces benefited Federer almost as much as the rest of the big

Precisely, Stanislasa actually feels and looks rushed sometimes in faster courts because of his huge backswings, therefore I have a hard time giving Stan the advantage over Fed on faster courts....

Re: Andy Murray believes Martina Navratilova is the best player in tennis history

I agree, Graf if you look overall had the weakest opposition in her generation, Graf only truly had Seles as her main rival (comparable rival) and only for about 3 years. Serena had comparable...

Re: Is the level of tennis falling?

Exactly, the lack of variety in true court surface difference is totally affecting the variety in match-ups, and particularly playing styles. I also must agree that the talent pool on this current...

I still think GOAT discussions are merely...

I still think GOAT discussions are merely hypothetical conjectures, and highly subjective. There isn't a player that can claim they played all GOAT candidates at their peaks. Hence a clear cut winner...

Re: Andy Murray believes Martina Navratilova is the best player in tennis history

Not as naturally gifted, and the courts and balls have forced everyone to develop into a similar playing style of players. Players no longer play doubles as a training ground to improve all aspects...

Re: Andy Murray believes Martina Navratilova is the best player in tennis history

Very well said, good people do and say bad things, bad people do and say the right things as well, and both come in different shapes, sizes, and colors.

Re: Andy Murray believes Martina Navratilova is the best player in tennis history

Who wouldn't Serena whoop? Well I guess Graf would be the only other female athlete who could challenge Serena's athletic supremacy, in fact an aging Graf gave a teen Serena a run for her money in...

Re: Andy Murray believes Martina Navratilova is the best player in tennis history

Moreover, Henin is not even close to seriously be considered in the GOAT conversation. Serena is kind of in a similar predicament as Roger. They can only play and beat those in their draws. In fact...

Re: Andy Murray believes Martina Navratilova is the best player in tennis history

Talent is subjective, one thing is for sure Serena has the best first serve the WTA has seen, and a most ferocious return of serve, results wise she is just lagging title count wise. Graf will...

Re: WTF London RR Gr. B: Federer def. Nishikori 6-3 6-2

Absolutely, Safin for example would feast on some of these players Raonic and company. So much for best era and the most talented? Outside Novak and Nadal this era is simply athletic at best....

Re: WTF London RR Gr. A: Djokovic def. Cilic 6-1 6-1

That's what I thought, I knew I was not hallucinating or seeing things or my LED screen getting a little old. It's like playing in Miami except indoors, quite hideous. Sampras and Becker would be...

Re: WTF London RR Gr. A: Djokovic def. Cilic 6-1 6-1

Indoor tennis is a joke these days, especially the last 3-4 years. The courts keep getting slower every year. Paris-Bercy was horrible and London isn't all that much better.

Re: London calling! ATP World Tour Finals 2014 - Rog vs Raonic Sunday

Yeah I saw the last 4 games of the second and the tiebreak, and yeah Roger's baseline game looked rusty at best. His forehand looked pedestrian to say the least, he was fortunate to win that...

Re: Is Nadal the best baseliner the game has ever seen?

I was asking myself the same thing, Nalby's fitness was questionable but his baseline game was lethal, and he was incredibly effective at the net. By the way all three of these have better return of...

Re: Rank these PEAK 21st century Forehands.

Whoa, this remids me how much I miss David's groundies especially that exquisite backhand. As impressive as Novak's may be it has nothing on David's in fact I would take Marat's too over Novak's. ...
