Re: AO Final: Novak Djokovic def. Andy Murray 6-1, 7-5, 7-6(3). SIX-cess!

Now we know who the real spartan is. It's quite comical how Djokovic can trust his spartan defense and only 3-4 players on the tour can hit through that defense. Murray isn't one of them. At least...

Re: Do you enjoy the style of modern tennis?

yes it is but it was a poor TV time and I've been burned by that matchup too many times. Djokovic vs Murray has a tendency to produce stinkers.

That is maybe the main problem with modern...

Re: Winning slam finals with more UE than winners?

Cant fault Djokovic. He wants to win the slams at all cost and then it's better to do it the safe way than to go out there guns blazing and maybe drop a set or two.

It's up to the player on the...

Re: Do you enjoy the style of modern tennis?

don't ask this right after a Djokovic vs Murray match. Of course it's gonna look bad. Must confess I didnt even watch the final, but looking at the highlights it's alright.

Re: Can Federer fans reach an agreement on when exactly was his peak?

2006 was his peak.

The biggest "peak killer" was the mono and some devastating losses in 2008, in particular the wimbledon final.

Fed had probably gone downhill anyway, just that Nadal...

Re: Murray: "There's no reason it's not possible for me to win"

Empty words. It's all about what he brings to the court. He said similar things the 3rd time and the 4th time he lost in the AO final.

This clearly isnt working. Maybe he should've trolled...

Re: Federer: ''I can run for four or five hours. It's not a problem.''

Endurance has never been his problem. 34 years old isn't much and many great athletes in endurance sports are older than Federer.

Problem is tennis isn't only about running for 5 hours. His...

Re: How To Beat Novak Djokovic

To play with tons of power and depth. Djokovic key strength is his excellent returns and excellent defense. Gotta cut away his time. Only a handfull of players are capable to play with enough power...

Re: Who will save tennis in Paris this year?

Nadal saving tennis? He should work on saving himself. He made a deal with the devil/uncle toni and it has finally caught up with him.

Stan the Man could defeat Djokovic but I dont think he will...

Re: AO R1: Fernando Verdasco def. (5) Rafael Nadal 7-6(6) 4-6 3-6 7-6(4) 6-2

The Tennis Gods giving Verdasco a chance to redeem himself for the loss in 2009 and he took it.

Nadal really has hit rock bottom. When even his fellow spaniard turkeys are too much, it's gonna be...

Re: Djokovic sets new absolute ATP ranking record - 16145 points!

well what can you say. Of course it's very impressive and Djokovic is the best player by far.

Still it's a shame there aren't more players that can threaten him. Even when Djokovic plays bad he...

Re: US Open 2015

Yes truly a great run. Inglot/Lindstedt got Herbet/Mahut in SF and the top half looks open too. Any team can win it, but I like their chances because they have been clutch in key moments.

Re: US Open 2015

Inglot/Lindstedt took out Haas/Stepanek quite easily. Don't think Tommy Haas is serving that great these days. Might be the all those injuries that still are taking their toll. Some glimpses of...

Re: Why don't some servebots just hit the 1st serve all the time?

think Joachim "Pim-Pim" Johansson did it sometimes. Even saved matchpoints going for it on the 2nd serve. But his 1st serve was of course amazing and very few players have a 1st serve good enough and...

Re: What win from 2 sets down was the most impressive against the big 3?

probably Tsonga against Fed. Once he started to turn that match he was on a roll.

If i remember correctly Federer created only 1 break point in 5 sets of tennis. Tsonga was clutching like crazy in...

Re: where does the Fognini roast rank?

for drama it was special. Being 0-2 and a break down and turn the match?

At the same time gotta be realistic about it. Nadal in 2015 is a shadow of his former self.

Tsongas roast in AO 2008 was...

Re: Nadal is Fognini's Holy Grail

maybe he's a bad matchup? Fog with an excellent 2H BH that can handle moonballs and when watching the highlights he got so much depth in many rallies. Really "controlled" the match like he was some...

Re: US Open 3R: (32) Fabio FOGnini def. (8) Rafael Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-4

so sad i couldnt watch this because it was in the middle of the night. The Fog is a very talented ballstriker and often plays epic points when he's in "nothing to lose"-mode or tired, because he...

very interesting read. Thought he had a heart condition. Many probably hide mental health issues in sports. Fish deserves credit for speaking up.

Re: The day of upsets Bryans Melo/Dodig shown the door

I watched Melo/Dodig vs Lindstedt/Inglot. It's clear that Lindstedt/Inglot conserved some of the good form having just won Winston-Salem.

What maybe secured the upset was Dodig hitting 2 DFs in a...

Re: USO R1: Benoît Paire def. [4] Kei Nishikori 6-4 3-6 4-6 7-6(6) 6-4 (saved 2 MPs)

ouch. Kei going from finalist to R1 loss? Goodbye ranking points. The battle around 5-8 will be interesting the coming months

Title #19 for Lindstedt. Hopefully he will make it to 20 before the career is over. Inglot/Lindstedt is an interesting team. Inglot is even bigger and heavier than Lindstedt, so they got some...

Re: Has US Open become the best slam organisation-wise?

AO is best. US Open second. Wimbledon third.

RG is dead last.
