Re: Rafa - no.1 at the end of 2008

LMAO at all the retards talking about points to defend when the thread title specifically reads 'at the end of 2008'.

Re: ******* Bathing in the mud aka French Open 2008 *******

I hear it's pretty sunny and most likely dry

Have you watched yesterday's match yet? what do you make of it?

I thought it had all the ingrediants of a clay-court classic from the past,...

Re: Federers every year improvement on clay

Seriously how can you say that?

He charged the net more often than I can recall anyone in the ATP do for years and succeeded in a very fine % of the time. Anyone who comes in that often is bound to...

Re: Rafa - no.1 at the end of 2008

I believe there's not a whole lot of meaning behind your actions anyway

Post another one. This is too important to go unnoticed.

Re: Federer def. Monfils 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5. Sets up the trilogy vs Nadal

Not every defeat requires explanation. Radek went for a very unique gameplan and executed it to perfection. Losses like that are likely to happen and even moreso in the best of 3 format. Guga had...

Re: Federer def. Monfils 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5. Sets up the trilogy vs Nadal

Droping his level in patches is actually very typical in his matches, not uncharacteristic at all, and I thought the forehand was better this tourney than it's been in a long time.

Re: Federer def. Monfils 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5. Sets up the trilogy vs Nadal

Did you watch the match, or just the ranking next to the players' names?

What was Tsonga's ranking prior to the AO? Do you really believe Monfils troubled Federer today by playing like...

Do watch the match - I guarantee you'll enjoy both players.

Re: Federers every year improvement on clay

They have both pushed each other to improve I suppose.

And thanks, but not for the love of god would I watch that horrible 2005 SF match :o

Re: Federer def. Monfils 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5. Sets up the trilogy vs Nadal

No opponent would have been a tough one for Nadal this year, although Verdasco and Almugro really stunk the place.

Re: Federers every year improvement on clay

Agree 100%. He looks excellent on clay to me.

Playing like this would have sufficed against 2006 Nadal, but 2008 Nadal is a freak of nature on clay.

Re: Federer def. Monfils 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5. Sets up the trilogy vs Nadal

Still he made the vast majority of the volleyes and beautifully so.

he's not chasing every ball, his game has never been about that, and yes - when you play attacking tennis (which he obviously did...

Re: Roland Garros 2008 Final: (1) Roger Federer vs (2) Rafael Nadal

I've always failed to understand how tennis players ever 'deserve' to win anything :retard:

Federer. contrary to what people here say, is playing his best tennis on clay right now, much better than...

Re: Rafa - no.1 at the end of 2008

Same shit every year: he rocks he clay season and everyone forgets it's hardly mid-season.

Truth is Novak and Federer are superior to him on surfaces other than clay, and I give Novak the best...

Re: Federer def. Monfils 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5. Sets up the trilogy vs Nadal

I find it weird so many people say today's match was a bad one.

I thought it was great, and it only shows the ridiculous standard Federer is held to.

Today he played an opponent who could have...

Re: ******* Bathing in the mud aka French Open 2008 *******

What are you talking about?

Watching the match with friends today helped me being more objective about the match and less frustrated about missed oportunities, and what I saw was two...

Re: ******* Bathing in the mud aka French Open 2008 *******

Amazing match today! :woohoo:

I give Roger about 0.1% chance on Sunday since Nadal is in a fearsome form and playing like a machine ATM but this year has been Roger's best RG showing IMO and I...

Re: Final Sunday is not going to be blazing hot, dry conditions this year

Hot, cold, dry, humid, summer or winter - the final will once again be boring and ugly to watch (like any match between these two) and the winner's identity never in doubt.

Re: Monfils/Ferrer on Chatrier, Federer on Lenglen???

That's why it's everyone's best interest that no French players are left in the draw after round 1.
