Re: Rank the Champions League Winners (2004-2014)

That Bayern team from 2013 is the best all-round footballing side that I've ever seen. This current Barcelona team is getting there though. Suarez and Neymar are the best sidekicks that Messi has...

Re: Copa América Chile 2015

Colombia are 4th. Belgium 2nd.

It's a joke. Colombia are full of overrated players. Jimmy Rodriguez is very good, but he's not worth the money Madrid paid for him, and has been outperformed by Isco...

Re: Copa América Chile 2015

This is slightly tangential, but out of Belgium and Colombia, which side is most overrated in the FIFA rankings?

Brazil nearly mugged that up. Why does Luiz play?

Re: Stuttgart F: [1]R.Nadal def. [8]V.Troicki 7-6(3) 6-3

I think Nadal is very close now. I'd like to see him play Murray in Queen's this week, then we'll see what's genuinely realistic as far as Wimbledon is concerned.

Re: Who could have beaten Wawrinka at the French Open?

Virtually anybody in the draw 'could' have beaten him. He's the kind of player who throws in a shocker every so often. It was only really the final which he played superbly in, anyway.

Re: 's-Hertogenbosch SF [2] Goffin d. Muller 7-6(4) 6-4

A player of Muller's quality shouldn't be winning a title, grass or not. Hopefully Goffin wins tomorrow and gets his arse closer to the top 10 as soon as possible.

Re: Nadal: 'Matches against Raonic, Fognini or Stan I lost, I should normally win'

Interesting that he didn't mention Murray in Madrid.

Re: Christopher Lee dies aged 93

Count Dooku was one of the highlights of the prequel trilogy of Star Wars.

RIP.

Re: Surbiton CH R2: Ebden def. [3] Harrison 6-0 6-2

You guys don't realise just how windy it is in London today. Don't read too much into this.

Re: Why do you think Fabio Fognini isn't good at the grass?

Where did I say Malisse wasn't always a good grass-courter? And if you think I was implying that, then your inference is wrong.

I'm just saying earlier in his career, he would play really well on...

Re: Why do you think Fabio Fognini isn't good at the grass?

Yeah, he's got all of the additional skills needed to be good on grass, but he's missing a couple of fundamental things.

1) A weapon (even minor weapons suffice [see Hewitt and Murray])
2) A...

What's the lesser of two evils, Inverdale as host or commentator?

Re: BBC axe John Inverdale from Wimbledon coverage

John Inverdale has NOT been axed from the coverage.

Please see: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-33077205

He's simply changed roles. He's now a co-commentator instead of a presenter.

Re: Marin Cilic a good sleeper for the Wimbledon title!

Sure, I think I really worded my original post poorly.

What I mean is that he is by no means a 'grass-courter' and given that his form is presently suspect, I don't think 'Fogmeister' picking him to...

Where has this 'Cilic is good on grass' myth come from?

Re: WWW? - Roland Garros Final: Novak Djokovic vs Stan Wawrinka

People giving Wawrinka 1, 2 or even 3 sets all over the place? Surprising.

I think Djokovic will comprehensively win this match. Wawrinka is the lucky beneficiary of being in one of the weakest slam...

Re: WWW: RG QF: [3]A.Murray vs. [7]D.Ferrer

I think people are massively overrating Ferrer here. He's becoming more of a flat-track bully as time progresses, and flat-track bullies don't tend to win huge matches against genuine contenders,...

Re: BSG 19 ~~~Groovy Songs ~~ SF Ceremony Underway

I'm not disappointed to go out, that's the beauty of taste. Some songs are more popular than others, particularly with certain demographics, and inevitably they will do the best. But I'll continue to...

Re: WWW ? RG R3: [13] Monfils vs [21] Cuevas

Stop talking out of your arse. The consensus in the locker rook is that Cuevas has one of the best second serves (kicker) in the business, especially if you take the giant players out of the...

Re: Roland Garros R2: (21) Cuevas def. Thiem 7-6(7) 7-5 6-7(5) 7-5

Thiem played an amazing match, I'm really surprised he made it this close.

Instead of cursing him for missed opportunities, why don't people appreciate the things he did do right in the match (of...
