Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Needs some first serves here.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

I assume you will agree they are both stinking up the court.

BREAKTIME FLO!

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

That one from Mayer was not much better.

Nervy from both now. Quality of the match has fell off a cliff.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

From 62 10 4015* and Mayer implodes. With his head and poor stamina, I am again losing faith.

62 14* now.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Florian rolling back the years and is playing lights out tennis now!

I had finally accepted he was done outside of grass, but glad to see I was wrong!

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Kohlschreiber seems to have other ideas. Hopefully Flo finds a way to make the semis as well (although I doubt it).

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Gojowczyk and Millman both choking away their matches. Not good for my wallet, and with the way it happened even worse for my mood.

Re: Atlanta R2: Lacko def. [6] Young 6-3 6-1

???
He held serve four times.

***
I am guessing you have checked flashscore. I didn't watch either, but according to atp stats, he held 4/8 times but didn't see a break point. I am guessing...

Re: Atlanta R1: Milman def. Tiafoe 5-7 6-4 7-6(5)

Millman didn't look to impressed with the handshake Tiafoe offered after the match. In the post match interview, he gave credit to his opponent as one of the top talents in the world, and gave an...

Watched the business end of the tiebreaker.

Not good.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

The volleying in this match doesn't belong in the pros.

*Not the decision making behind approaching either. From what I have seen from Marterer, it's a regular feature of his game.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

He can't seem to win on the ATP tour. After this match, his record will probably be 0-11 which I'm sure weighs heavily on his mind. He has lost all three big, ie. break points, so far.

Simon looks...

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Dzumhur is not winning any friends or service games.

I really like his all court game, but his on court behaviour must be the worst in the current top 100.

Re: The Live ATP Rankings Thread

I was convinced Schwartzman - Kuznetsov would be a breakfest. Only watched a couple games, but Schwartzman seems unable to get the return in play against a subpar server on a slooooow clay court.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Frank down a set and a break. Can't see him making another comeback.

His returning is just shocking.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Pretty funny when the commentator tries to explain what is happening, and gets it 100% wrong.

Re: Newport R1: Konstantin Kravchuk df Victor Estrella Burgos 6-4 6-4

I didn't know Kravchuk had such rich parents. A little surprising considering his not so glamorous tournament schedule.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Deserved winner in the end, but Sousa finished himself off in the last three games. Error galore.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Delbonis always makes me want to cry.

Once every blue moon he looks almost unbeatable on clay, but his awful technique seems to let him down in most matches.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

I can understand players choking on the centre court vs a top player in a slam.

Choking away a double break in front of 15 people vs Bjorn Fratangelo in Newport however, makes me think you're not...

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Marchenko and Fratangelo stinking up the centre court. Marchenko is not _that_ bad from the baseline, but hit more double faults than first serves in his two attempts at serving out the set from *52.

Re: Frank Dancevic

Nice surprise to see him qualify and get a win against a decent opponent. Watched a bit of his match against Kavcic in Winnipeg, and he looked quite good actually. More aggressive than we have seen...
