Re: Federer's classic rivals nowhere to be found

I don't really see the point of this thread. Players decline when the are close to 30. Most of them accept this and move on to other things. Injuries happen as well.

Groove will peak at 49 but...

Re: Weakest 500 On Tour?

True. Back in the day smaller events were more interesting because top players used to play them much more often. And they didn't take a 1,5 month break after AO (interrupted By Dubai money of course)

Re: Why is Ferrer playing Nothingham?

Just stop with the vulturing crap. You are just repeating an old MTF belief. Do you really think Ferrer cares for the 250 points, money or his title count? No. He had a long clay season and wants to...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

Disgusting. "I respect you, but I also think you're a lousy umpire and I will not have you umpiring my matches".

I can't believe this. Just can't. If for some reason the ATP thinks there's a...

Re: Do you want to see a Novak-Rafa RG final?

Never in a million years. Give me something new, anything! I will not waste my sunday afternoon for a match as boring as this.

Re: The current state of Men's tennis

That's not the problem. Heart of the matter is that people are sick and tired of watching the so called Big 4. They are excellent players for sure. Unfortunately their matches offer nothing new, it's...

Re: Federer: "I'm playing Istanbul, Madrid. We'll see what going on with Rome"

This just goes to show that tennis players may not be that smart. Rome is listed in his schedule in his own website. It's a mandatory tournament. Yet, he rather goes to Istanbul purely to make money...

Re: Should players be able to make a living playing Challengers?

That's the difference between team sports and individual sports. People do follow lower level football closely and pay to see the matches. This is because it's really a way of living and you pretty...

Re: Nadal hasn't defeated a top 10 opponent since RG'14

2012,2014, really makes no difference.

Re: Dubai Championships The Big ''3'' Out Of 4,Who Will ''Clinch'' The TITLE

Angry Auckland tournament director was referring to tournaments like this. Huge amounts of money being offered again.

Re: Why doesn't Del Potro switch to an one-handed backhand?

Because JMDP is too old for a fundamental change like that. I'm amazed how some of you really don't understand the game at all.

And no, two handed backhand is not something that brakes wrists.

Re: Journalist from New Zealand trashes Isner for withdrawing from Auckland

But that's not the point. He shouldn't have signed up for Auckland in the first place. People hate when you sign up and the withdraw the last minute.

Re: Would Djokovic and Nadal beat the Bryan brothers in a doubles match?

Never in a million years. Nadal and Djokovic don't know how to hit a decent low volley and they also lack overheads. They would be weaponless against Bryans.

Re: Should players be able to make a living playing Challengers?

You fail to see the big picture. Sure, making more money would be nice. While were at it, let's just increase all the wages. I mean, we all like to have more money at our disposal. Wrong.

Re: Grigor Dimitrov signs a 5 year endorsement deal with Rolex

But it's not like every watch brand is willing to sponsor tennis players. They really can't choose their favourite brands and just pick the best offer. Yes, it does seem like he's copying Federer....

Hong Kong wants an ATP event

Interesting article about Hong Kong's plans to host an ATP event again. Not sure why anyone would want to host an 250 event though. Top players don't care about small tournaments, especially after...

Re: I leave this forum

It's a damn internet forum, nothing more. If you wish to leave, just do it. No need for these dramatic "I'm leaving" threads. Greater posters have disappeared over the years.

Re: Has anyone ever hit the ball out of Arthur Ashe stadium?

Serve is not the answer here. Only possible shot would be a squash like forehand with heavy use of wrist. I've never been to AA but I don't think it's possible.

Re: Toronto R3: Tsonga def. Djokovic 6-2 6-2

How about spectators in Toronto, tournament staff and sponsors. I'm disgusted how openly players tank nowadays. It's your damn job to play tennis and these tournaments and sponsors pay you more money...

Re: How does Federer never miss any time because of injury?

I was unclear, sorry. It doesn't happen often really, but it's not unheard of. An athlete can find a doctor who then diagnoses a bad back or some other problem which prevents from serving in the...
