Re: The Great Swiss Assasin : How Can He Improve

Isn't this more about form than "his approach". Especially considering the serve.

Federer's strength has always been playing an offensive type of tennis, I'd say he hasn't lost this type of style -...

Re: Miami 2R: A. Bogomolov Jr destroys A. Murray 6-1 7-5

I didn't watch this match but regardless of the quality Bogomolov or Murray may have brought into this game, I think this begs the question:

What is wrong with Murray?

I don't think he should take...

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

Oh I'll be damned.. Yeah, I_mac.. I admire him. I love him so much I would like him to be a perfect person, more than just a "tennis player". I make excuses for him. I made this whole conversation...

Re: Who will be the first to beat Rafa at Roland Garros?

I guess the last option assumes Rafa is not going to lose until he dies, and later his body will be buried in Philippe Chatrier, behind the baseline, with a racquet attached to the left side of his...

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

I don't think "Federer is rare" in speaking his mind. I think "speaking your mind" is rare and important. ;)

Federer appears to me as a person doing that, but that doesn't mean I admire him because...

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

I said before that I don't know Federer and I just said what I thought which is that he appears to me a as a person who speaks his mind, which is a trait I happen to like. And I certainly did not say...

Re: **GREAT Tennis Shots**

Well, if you'd ask me, that's not a "great tennis shot", neither a "great point", but it's a really funny and a great moment (particularly because of both players' reactions). :D

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

Oooh dear.

There's a slight, but actually a very significant difference between an honest person and an honest person who speaks his mind. The latter does not worry about how people will react to...

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

Hmmm... I looked at my post again, and I still can't find where I said something even similar to that.

Re: Men Vs Woman

Well, obviously it's quite a physical issue, and men are obviously more physical than women.

Re: Why is the slice so underrented?

Of course Nadal can slice. It's not a really good shot at the moment, and his western grip is not helping him in execution. But he can improve it.

Re: Bucharest Doubles Final Devilder/Mathieu d Fyrstenberg/Matkowski 7-6(4) 6-7(9) 22

Woah.. 22-20.

I remember a doubles match that finished with 23-21 at the last set... And it was actually a 5 set match and went over 2 days or something, at a GS... Can't quite remember.

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

Hey I remember you. :wavey:

I don't assume that and I really don't really understand how you can draw that conclusion from what I said.

Though reading my post again, I would prefer you...

Re: Of all the Final Slam Losers, Whos' got the best chance to win another slam first

I don't know, I don't fancy these kind of polls, but Murray's chances may not be as high as most people think - I think he still has to figure himself out mentally (read: he needs to be consistently...

Re: Bucharest SF: Moya def. Gasquet 6-2 6-4

The man is 32 years old and he's still fighting out there, beautiful.

Re: Roger Federer: the Ego has Landed Again

Roger really had his ups and downs this year in every department, didn't he?.. One day you see him as classy as ever talking about Rafa's taking of No.1, then he says something like "more people felt...

Re: askmen.com top 10 matches of all time

Borg vs Mcenroe is, as a whole, the greatest match I've ever watched... But nothing beats the way Federer won that 4th set and later Nadal clinching the 5th at this year's Wimbly.

Re: Bucharest R1: Navarro d (4)Mathieu 6-4 6-7(5) 6-3

I didn't see this match. But it's quite obvious Mathieu is having really tough times.

On the other hand, Navarro isn't exactly a bad player...

Re: Can Nalbandian duplicate his results from last year's indoor season ?

Agreed. He didn't seem to be even trying to play well lately. But in the past he proved he can play brilliant when he actually tries.

Re: SI players poll: Federer or Nadal

I clearly remember quite some time ago Federer saying something like "people think Nadal can only play on clay, but they know nothing about tennis".
