Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 11

Not a fan of cheering after a missed first serve, which a few people did... Apart from that there seemed to be a great atmosphere!

Re: Halle R1: A. Zverev vs. Lorenzi 6-3 6-2

I think the dropshot was still pretty bad and would have been punished more often than not. He certainly has improved on that area though.

Re: Daniel Altmaier

Well done. :) First match I've really seen from him. I like his one handed backhand a lot, he has good consistency and really seems to be able to generate power with it. You don't see that very often...

Re: Gstaad QF: Brown def. Youzhny 6-4 6-4

Second SF for Dreddy in an ATP event and his first on clay. :) The altitude in Gstaad is helping him a lot I guess.

Re: Livescores (Germans) #4

If you have just seen him throw away his service game to love being a break up, you have pretty much seen how it went in the first set.

Re: Daniel Altmaier

Impressive scorelines in SF and in the final against former top 150 player Authom. :) According to the scoreboard he also hit 15 aces in the final in just 8 service games.

Re: Alexander Zverev

Some nice highlights in there. Both players were obviously not taking it too seriously and had some fun.

Re: Halle R1: A. Zverev def (7) V. Troicki 6-4 6-4

Still room for improvement, but a solid start and a very nice scoreline.

Re: Rudolf Molleker

Massive win against Moeller in the final, who had been on a roll winning 22 out of his last 23 matches with only a close defeat against Kuhn. :)

Re: Stuttgart SF: Kohlschreiber def. Del Potro 6-3, 6-4

Kohlschreiber as usual playing some extremely good tennis in Germany, especially on grass. A shame that he will probably lose early to some average guy at Wimbledon...

Re: Manchester CH QF: Dustin Brown d. James Ward 7-6(7) 6-2

I always wonder what Brown could have done at Wimbledon in the 90's... And even more, what he could have achieved if someone had taught him proper baseline tennis in his youth. ;) Whatever he does on...

Re: WWW ? RG R3: [13] Thiem vs Zverev

If there is any proof that you can develop a lot between the age of 19 and 22 and a half it is Thiem, who was fighting for a spot in the top 400 at Zverev's age. ;) It also shows that we shouldn't...

Re: WWW ? RG R3: [13] Thiem vs Zverev

Thiem in 4, maybe 5. Sascha can push him, but I don't think he can beat him on clay right now, especially best of 5.

Cute little boy Sascha on that pic... please try not to hurt him. Are you 2.15 m tall or just standing on a higher ground? :D

Re: Indian Wells R3: A. Zverev def. [16] Simon 6-2 6-2

When Simon played his normal game he was simply overpowered in almost all of the rallies, as Sascha was very consistent with his offensive game today. When your gameplan doesn't work you are alway...

Re: Davis Cup Germany vs Czech R. Lukhas Rosol d. Alexander Zverev 6-2 6-3 6-1

Right. Maybe Dreddy should have played, in this condition Sascha had no chance. Rosol was hitting the lines right and left though.

Re: Alexander Zverev

Wow that is news to me, that he was bitten by a spider in Washington, had to take antibiotics and then lost 8-9 kg after the US Open... He has gained about 15 kg since then though.

So close to...

Re: 2016 Live Commentary Thread vol. 4

Sascha lost only 1 point on serve in the second, 100 % on first serves with 71 % in.

I completely understand Berdych's frustration, but it's almost always ruled that way if no clear winner...

Re: Montpellier R16: Alexander Zverev def. [2] Marin Cilic 7-6 7-6

So good when he played aggressively, some huge returns at the end of the second set. That's the style to play consistently.

Re: Vienna R1: Tsonga def. Haas 6-3 6-7 6-4

Haas winning 60 % on first serves and 57 % on second, or 65 % when he didn't double fault, indicates that his first serve had no effect whatsoever. :(
