Re: Gasquet def Berlocq 7-6 6-4 6-4

Guess you're new here, he was touted as the next God, back in the day.

Re: Which seeds do you think are in trouble in round 2:

He hasn't played since Miami, and beating Tomic on clay is meaningless. It wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he loses.

Re: So, one of Zopp, Sock, Lajovic, Johnson/Lokoli is Rafa's 1/8F opponent!

Easy draw, hard draw, hell draw Nadal was going to prevail anyways. Seems you guys haven't been following Roland Garros in the past decade.

Re: is this the weakest clay field ever?

Clay is faster and hard courts slower, so we don't exactly have a "clay field", we just have good and bad players everywhere.

Re: Aix en Provence CH Final: [3] Schwartzman def. [7] A.Beck 6-7(4) 6-3 6-2

On the other hand, he hits flat and fast, is an agressive returner and it looks like he may have the suitable footwork for grass. He could do well or he could do badly. And it's surprising how long...

Re: WWW Madrid SF: [1] Nadal vs. Bautista-Agut

I've been impressed by Bautista, but this stage may be too much for him right now. Let them play again in a few years.

Re: Madrid [QF]: Bautista-Agut def. Giraldo 6-3 6-4 ; will be seeded in RG

Robredo serves for the championship 5-3 against Gaudio in Godó a decade ago, fifth set. Double break point, Robredo starts limping, takes a MTO, stalls the game 10 minutes, comes back, Gaudio loses...

Re: Oeiras QF: Berlocq def. [2] Raonic 7-5 6-4

Push him a bit more and he'll even say that Raonic was drunk, hadn't slept for a week or played blindfolded.

Re: Nalbandian or Ferrer career?

You might also consider that Ferrer was a highly experienced player when he faced Nadal, having played lots of times against the best opposition and in important venues. Nalbandian, when he got to...

Re: would you consider Argentina the most successful South American tennis country?

I guess you're speaking about the footbal-culture of violence, which is, sadly, an accurate depiction. On the other hand, it doesn't necessarily translate to other sports, specially not in tennis.

Re: Nadal to play Buenos Aires ATP 250 in 2014

There's no official confirmation. I heard there were negotiations going on, though.

Re: Argentinian Exho: Retired Nalbandian def. Heyday Nadal 6-4 7-6 (6)

Then I wonder who's getting all the money collected, considering the tickets (specially the one that will be played in Buenos Aires) are astronomically expensive.

Re: 2013 Challenger Lima 2nd Round: Christian Garin def. Pere Riba 1-6 6-1 3-0 ret.

Don't get me wrong, I think Garín is very talented and he'll do great things, but I just don't see how a win by retirement is a good win.

Re: Do you think the WTF should change venue from London?

I would move it to Nolegrade (ex-Belgrade), Serbia. All players comfortably traveling on the No1e Airbus.

Re: Nadal is a God in Spain

Then again, this has been by the most successful decade for Spanish sport. Don't see what's so puzzling.

Re: Troicki suspended for 18 months for refusing a blood test.

So nice to see the big fish getting busted too.

What a clean, inmaculate sport we are lucky to be fans of.

Re: Who is the most talented out of Tsonga, Berdych, Ancic and Soderling?

You don't know if he would be able to step up in the big scene (a GS final, to be precise). He played two finals already and he wasn't able to perform as the previous matches of the respective...

Re: Bogota FQR: Juan Ignacio Londero (#564) def. Guido Andreozzi 6-2 1-6 7-5

Re: RG R3 Robredo saves 4 MP.s & trolls Monfils (Berdych,Gulbis) 2-6 6-7 6-2 7-6 6-2

I don't really like Robredo's antics and general behaviour, but the way he moves and slides on clay is mesmerizing. Great effort from him.

Re: Real top 8 clash in Rome R3 WWW: Rafael Nadal vs Ernest Gulbis

Gulbis will make it close only to keep promoting the myth that he can actually beat the top players.
