Re: The highest measured spin in a groundstroke? It's not Nadal's forehand

Moreover, after the bounce (which means much) Fed's backhand slice spin is probably much lower than Nadal's forehand lift.

Why did Fed wait until march 2012 to criticize Nadal taking too much time on serve ?

Could you give your opinions, as the "General timewasting thead" does not seem to deal with this side of the question ?

Re: Jim Courier: Monfils is the best pure athlete the game has ever seen

Didn't know that. Woud have rather said Noah than Borg.

Re: AO SF: Federer def. Tsonga 6-2 6-3 6-2

Quite a guess but Jo had problems with his abdominals. In any case, he should never have talked in the media yesterday. Federer would never do such a mistake. Final score is the same than Tsonga over...

Re: AO QF: Tsonga def. Djokovic 7-6(8), 6-7(5), 1-6, 6-3, 6-1

Thought the same. Wondered also if Tsonga (who could see Djoko had momentarily recovered) did not let Djoko come back until 5-3 in the 4th in order to tire him up a bit more before the 5th.

Re: Rescheduling the majors...

Has somebody mentioned the fact that were FO and Wimby not that close anymore, our interesting disputes about who is the GOAT would get more controversial ?

Re: LA R1: Spadea runs Kendrick close, 0-6 0-6

I may be wrong but it seems to me it's impossible to win a 6-0 6-0 match with an odd total of won points.

Re: The Top 101 Grand Slam Players of the Open Era -- an Update Post AO 2009, UO 2008

If your base was a W > 2 F > 4 SF > 8 QF, why not begin with giving :
1 W = 8 points , 1 F = 4, 1 SF = 2 and 1 QF = 1 rather than respectively 4, 3, 2, 1 ?
