Re: Cincy R1: Safin loses to Tursunov 7-6(5) 6-4, goes beserk at the end

In Toronto (on Court 5) Safin also got pissed off at getting a footfault and said he hadn't gotten one in 3 years. (lol)

Re: What you hear out and about in Toronto.

Lines judge: "Footfault"
Safin: "I haven't foot-faulted in 3 years."
Umpire: "You did last night"
Safin: "Ya, it was the same guy."

Re: Toronto R1: Safin def Querrey 6-3 6-3

I saw this match live-- Nothing more than a good workout for Safin. He should have been fine for the Wawrinka match (but he wasn't).

Re: Toronto R2: R. Nadal def. J. Levine 6-4, 6-2

I saw Levine beat Polansky and thought he'd go down 2 and 1 --but he looks like a big match player and like the crowd being behind him.

Re: Toronto R2: Robin Soderling def. Fernando Verdasco 6-4, 6-7, 6-4

This was on a virtual practice court---had no bleachers in fact. I only saw Ferdasco getting really angry but didn't know why. The crowd was right on top of the court so people were very in-your-face...

Re: Davydenko def. Haas on two courts. 6:3, 7:6(6)

Saw matches on both courts---strange how they just walked over to the Grandstand when it got too dark on court 5. Davy was not uber-impressive but extremely solid. His movement and consistency are...

Thomas Johansson def Andrey Golubev 76 61

Andrey had a set point in the first then looked like a jr. It was a packed house because people wanted to save themselves a seat for the Murray/Murray vs. Gasquet match. Johansson got booed by the...

Re: Toronto 1r: (11) Verdasco def. Bellucci 16 63 62

I was there live and tried go get the crowd going by Boooing louding at Verdasco's strange eruption (where out of nowhere he hit a ball against the back wall). Canadians are too polite though.

Re: Donald Young

I saw him play today and it is clear that he is talented but still playing like a junior. Physically he's got to mature a lot too (he look about 15 out there).

I was at the Roger's Cup Today and two things surprised me...

I dont see how your scenario is any different from Sampras winning the USopen...or Agassi making it to the final of the USopen...
