Re: Berdych has lost his last 11 semifinals of mandatory events

Talking of streaks, I can see the streak of contagious shitness continuing:

Dimitrov d. Wawrinka 6-1, 6-2
Monfils d. Dimitrov 6-1, 6-3
Berdych d. Monfils 6-1, 6-4
(?)Djokovic/Nadal d. Berdych 6-1,...

Re: Berdych has lost his last 11 semifinals of mandatory events

This ^

Runs into Gael Monfils and wins one. It's no coincidence. There's no great mystery here regarding why Berdych was losing SFs against the players he's been meeting in recent years.

Re: Koenig: "Nadal doesn't get credit for his volleys"

This.

I think what people take issue with is when you get deranged rantings from the likes of McEnroe about how he's the best volleyer on tour. Which is obviously laughable.

Re: Monte Carlo R16: [4] Raonic def. [16] Robredo, 6-3 3-6 6-3

Good fight from Sleeve; very disappointing for Tommy in these circumstances.

Re: WWW ? Which performance was worse? Murray Dubai QF vs Wawrinka Monte Carlo R3

Probably Waw, but both were atrocious. I'm convinced Murray was perfectly happy to lose and get back for DC. I'd hope for Stan's sake that his heart wasn't really in it either, though I can't imagine...

Re: Monte-Carlo R2: Gael "Peter Pan" Monfils def. Alexandr Dolgopolov 7-6(5), 7-6(6)

Sounds like the circus came to town and a good time was had by all.

I believe in Peter Pan.

Re: WWW Monte Carlo R2: [7] Wawrinka vs. Monaco

I'm getting a strong stench of Monaco in 3 from this one.

Re: WWW Monte Carlo R2: Fabio Fognini vs. [9] Grigor Dimitrov

I would think Dimitrov is the more likely winner, for the reasons philo mentions ^. Though if Fog's on, he could obviously be big trouble for Grigor. But I'll say Dimitrov 7-5, 6-1.

Re: WWW Monte Carlo R2: Rafael Nadal- Lucas Pouille

Call me crazy, but I think the outsider Nadal could have a good week if he can win this first match. Big 'if', but I'll back the red dirt cowboy to win in 3.

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 10

Bernie doing his best to beat Verdasco's BP numbers earlier. I don't think he'll manage it.

Seems like the crowd are asleep in this Cilic/Mayer match. Mayer is pulling out some of his usual funky...

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 9

One of your fellows appears to disagree. I was responding to that, but nevermind, feel free to be obnoxious.

And I disagree - Downey Jr was a shit Sherlock.

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 9

Only dedicated Djokovic/Ramos fans would want to watch that match over Dimitrov/Verdasco. And I'm not sure even Ramos fans would want to watch it, lol.

Re: Nadal: 'I'm Not The Favourite For Anything'

I've heard she wants to be a Slamray mistress. I don't think polarisgalaxy minds as long as Andy is a good father to Amelie's child.

Re: Which is the most unbiased MTF-nationality?

This is true. However, the Pope claims that he has conversations with God - so we need to asterisk this one in the interest of fairness.

The Dutch are certainly the group that most enjoy taking the...

Re: Who will beat Nadal in Monte-Carlo?

Smelling a Ferrer victory here. Always the chance of a David choke, but if Nadal doesn't step it up significantly, he may not be able to accept.

Re: WWW 2015 Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters? (Main draw post #1)

Awesome photo ^

Djokovic for me. SF of Fed/Raonic on the other side, with Fed probably progressing.

Re: Monte-Carlo draw 2015

Wow, tough one for Nadal. Federer's also looks very tricky, especially considering the loss to Chardy on clay. Reckon the sleeve could have a good run here.

There may have been some withdrawals,...

Re: Which is the most overly biased national fan-base/MTF nationality?

Ah, that would make sense. I noticed him refer to someone 'cursing' once - Britons of 20-something years do not say that.
