Re: The "Election Day" Thread

On the gay as choice - now you got me wound up...

I would certainly choose being the black sheep of my Irish/American/Catholic family.

What a rush it was when I didn't know whether I would still be...

Re: California Becomes the 2nd State in the USA to Legalize Same-Sex Marriage

Marriage is again banned in CA, but Prop. 2, a bill to guarantee the rights of farm animals won 63% of the vote.

Don't any of you people who voted against gay marriage think you can keep on fooling...

Re: I just bought this. Kill me now.

Re: "Anonymous Anger"

Too bad it comes from the "Moonview Sanctuary :D" but what better place than an online forum to say whatever you want when you're angry. I've done the ad hominem thing in the political threads. ...

Re: Vicar ends up in hospital after potato gets stuck in his bottom

Yes, there are holes in his story. Hospitals do deal with these things from time to time - I'm sure they just let people tell what ever story they like.

If this were the US, I wonder how the matter...

Re: Vicar ends up in hospital after potato gets stuck in his bottom

I saw a video posted on the web of someone stuffing a telephone. I'm not talking cellphone, but old fashioned, push button with receiver. Next step - pay phone?

I don't know what the story to the...

Re: Russell Brand / Jonathan Ross

The complaints have reached 35,000. I'm going to call too, although I'm American and don't know who these people are, except for Manuel, god bless him.

This is American-style news. Please don't go...

Re: Kidney removed through .. vagina for the first time in europe

I don't know if you two have met. Sue :hatoff: BigJohn. BigJohn :hatoff: Sue

There we go.

Could it be nephrophilia and nephrophiliacs? What of Ithyphallophobia, which is not in evidence here...

Where is that part? There was a few days worth of Rafa's butt.

I know this is mean, gods forgive me. OMG, what a terrible angle for Nole that picture was. I remembered a Spanish actress,...

Re: St. Petersburg final: Andy Murray thumps Golubev and Russian Mob 6-1 6-1

Henman won 11 ATP titles in his whole career. Murray will top that shortly and Henman Hill will be flattened.

Re: Kidney removed through .. vagina for the first time in europe

A person's mouth is probably worse. Maybe not as bad as a hyena, but bad.

Sorry, Nikki - these threads do take on a life of their own.

The whole idea of this is to lessen the physical trauma, pain...

Re: Kidney removed through .. vagina for the first time in europe

My uncle had a benign brain tumor removed through his nose. I had my gall bladder out through my navel.

Never would have thought of the kidney one, but very creative. :yeah:

Re: Most hated athlete by sport of all time

No one likes Armstrong, except those who are naive enough to believe that he was drug-free. So he was never caught. The testing was not very sophisticated when he raced. Ask Greg LeMond.

Re: What is your favorite Television Show?

I thought Prime Suspect was great. Helen Mirren is the best.

Simpsons, always - but especially the Halloween show. Don't miss it.

Oz, Six Feet Under, The Practice, etc. I'm not a fan of the big...

Re: La Dolce Vita - to chat about the pretty little things in life! :)

I've been to a few very nice cities in Europe, but never to Italy or France....because, because...I have no sense.

Belgium is in a bad time now and is in danger of becoming Flanders and Wallonia. ...

Re: Britney Spears tops US Billboard Hot 100 Charts

Michael Jackson was a real talent when he was a real person. That was a long time ago, but there's no harm in liking the music if you can separate it from the person. That makes no sense. I'll try...

It's not like he has to live up to his cousin's victorious on-court legacy.

Problems: injuries, inconsistency, father-coach, he can't sell sports bras.

Re: LOL @ Ducky and the USA in general

As for research, I think the country is heading in an anti-science direction and it may get worse if the current political climate doesn't change. That would be a welcome climate change.

American...
