Congrats to The Boss! I'm sure Rafa is as happy as true tennis lovers, for two reasons, he knew Roger deserved it and he hasn't been the defeated one...

Nice run Robin... but today you needed...

Re: Low viewership at the FO final?

To see Roger handling the huge pressure of "owing to" win RG after Nadal & Nole upsets is more interesting than Rafa's fifth FO.

Today Roger was feeling tha bitter taste of FAILURE against Haas, he...

Re: Djokovic is still the biggest threat to Nadal at RG

I think if I don't remember bad, in both Clay finals lost vs Roger (Hamburg & Madrid) we found a tired, not fresh Nadal.

"I'm tired, Roger is perfect, 4-6 4-6, no?"

Nole would have won 6-2 6-1...

Re: Who other than Nadal or Federer would you like to see win Wimbledon?

Winning Gasquet would remind me of Conchita Martinez winning Wimbly.

Strange things happenz!

Re: How many sets will Nadal lose during the clay season?

If he skips one master, he won't lose too many.

(BTW strange how many threads about clay and Nadal, there's a match not finished yet: no clay, no Nadal - Murray destroying Nole!!)

Re: Clay season appreciation thread

Yeah, bring on the clay!!
It's true that baseline play is dominating all courts nowadays, but on hard serve can yet decide many points.
Now on clay serve is not the end, its the start of long...

Re: IW SF: Murray denies Federer 63 46 61

was weird seeing your post and right under David Nalbandian in your signature :)

I'm afraid that Murray is not only a problem for Fed, now he's a problem for all. Murray is getting solid and smart...

Re: Fed's tears justified?

I don't think he cried 'cos he wanted to win so badly... if so he had played better third and fitfth set against someone really tired.
He just cried in frustation and disappointment, he hated himself...

Re: Head to Head, here are the pigeons. Minimum 5 matches with a +4 differential.

It means a lot...

a lot of people wait for that expected injury, though. You know, we all love Roger's game, he's "state of the art", but "mental injuries" have arrived to Roger before Rafa's...

Re: Head to Head, here are the pigeons. Minimum 5 matches with a +4 differential.

Anyway, best HtoH is that Nadal's got 25 titles (3 GS & 11 MS...) and Roger, at Rafa's age had 9 (1 GS & 1 MS).

Re: Hamburg F: Rafa Nadal Def. Roger Federer 7-5 6-7 6-3

I think Nadal was rather mentally/physically tired after Nole's fight... so decided not to waste too much power in fist pumps or jumps.:wavey:

People says Fed choked again, but a slight difference...
