Re: Nadal hasn't defeated a top 10 opponent since RG'14

2012,2014, really makes no difference.

Re: Dubai Championships The Big ''3'' Out Of 4,Who Will ''Clinch'' The TITLE

Angry Auckland tournament director was referring to tournaments like this. Huge amounts of money being offered again.

Re: Why doesn't Del Potro switch to an one-handed backhand?

Because JMDP is too old for a fundamental change like that. I'm amazed how some of you really don't understand the game at all.

And no, two handed backhand is not something that brakes wrists.

Re: Journalist from New Zealand trashes Isner for withdrawing from Auckland

But that's not the point. He shouldn't have signed up for Auckland in the first place. People hate when you sign up and the withdraw the last minute.

Re: Would Djokovic and Nadal beat the Bryan brothers in a doubles match?

Never in a million years. Nadal and Djokovic don't know how to hit a decent low volley and they also lack overheads. They would be weaponless against Bryans.

Re: Should players be able to make a living playing Challengers?

You fail to see the big picture. Sure, making more money would be nice. While were at it, let's just increase all the wages. I mean, we all like to have more money at our disposal. Wrong.

Re: Grigor Dimitrov signs a 5 year endorsement deal with Rolex

But it's not like every watch brand is willing to sponsor tennis players. They really can't choose their favourite brands and just pick the best offer. Yes, it does seem like he's copying Federer....

Hong Kong wants an ATP event

Interesting article about Hong Kong's plans to host an ATP event again. Not sure why anyone would want to host an 250 event though. Top players don't care about small tournaments, especially after...

Re: I leave this forum

It's a damn internet forum, nothing more. If you wish to leave, just do it. No need for these dramatic "I'm leaving" threads. Greater posters have disappeared over the years.

You may be right, never thought of it like that.

Re: Has anyone ever hit the ball out of Arthur Ashe stadium?

Serve is not the answer here. Only possible shot would be a squash like forehand with heavy use of wrist. I've never been to AA but I don't think it's possible.

Re: Toronto R3: Tsonga def. Djokovic 6-2 6-2

How about spectators in Toronto, tournament staff and sponsors. I'm disgusted how openly players tank nowadays. It's your damn job to play tennis and these tournaments and sponsors pay you more money...

Re: How does Federer never miss any time because of injury?

I was unclear, sorry. It doesn't happen often really, but it's not unheard of. An athlete can find a doctor who then diagnoses a bad back or some other problem which prevents from serving in the...

Re: How does Federer never miss any time because of injury?

It's not that hard! Sure, he has also been lucky. One nasty fall could have caused an injury any day. But look at the way he hits the ball. Look at the way he moves. He doesn't really dive and...

Re: How does Federer never miss any time because of injury?

QUOTE=evilmindbulgaria;24134273]No, you did not. I am just showing the flaws in your "proper training/smart schedule" theory.[/QUOTE]

So you are saying that fitness regime and schedule play no part?...

Re: How does Federer never miss any time because of injury?

Because:

A: Smart scheduling
B: Takes good care of his body
C: This is the most important point. Has a technique that doesn't put big strain on his body. His movement and shots are very natural and...

Re: Rafael Nadal to get Hormone Injections for speeding up recovery process.

I can't be bothered with going into details, but it's disturbing. That's for sure. I hope Nadal camp is forced to hand out an x-ray or something. Just to make sure there really is an injury....

Re: Atlanta R1 Smyczek def. Harrison 6-0 6-2

That's my guess as well. He just has too many limitations and it's not possible to fix them now. I suppose success at an early age can be dangerous if your coaches are not able to see further ahead....

Re: Atlanta R1 Smyczek def. Harrison 6-0 6-2

I feel sorry for Harrison. It's obvious that he's going through some tough times. But he has issues in his game that should have been fixed years ago. He has no weapons and all the strokes break down...

Re: Atlanta R1 Smyczek def. Harrison 6-0 6-2

This may have been one of the worst matches I have ever seen. Johnny Groove could have won a game here, I'm not even kidding. Harrison broke a racquet at 3-0 and it was all downhill from there.

Re: WWW Atlanta

Another example of a 250 where the field is quite weak, to put it mildly. I don't know if it's just me or were tournaments like this able to attract better players some years ago.
