Re: So this FO a**** have blocked real-time press contents

Crazy. Let's just assume that if it ends up as a thread title in GM it's either out of context or completely mistranslated, shall we? Or if it comes from a certain tennis website it's totally...

Re: Roland Garros R2: Federer def. Granollers 6-2 7-6(1) 6-3

Yes, definitely. Needs to tighten a few things up.

Well, at least you *can* see him getting past Monfils - that's more than quite a lot of people :)

Re: Federer:"I have to play a DC match before OG,even if I think this rule is ridicul

You'd think ...

Of course he would. Why wouldn't you want to have your last DC memory being of winning the thing rather than playing a relegation tie somewhere potentially outlandish?

No, it...

Re: Roland Garros R2: [WC] Mahut def. [24] Gulbis 6-3 3-6 7-5 6-3

Both would be good. But Gulbis is going to lose a huge number of points now.

And I thought it was just me :) Pleased to see him doing well for once.

Re: Order of play for Thursday Nadal and Clayray on pc Novak on sl

Novak's playing Müller. Enough said? The Murray and Nadal matches sound like more interesting prospects.

Re: 2015 Tournaments Thread

Sorry, I was just passing to put in the news about the radio special and saw this. As I've understood it, Roger was asked and was *prepared* to play on Sunday, while various unspecified players...

Nadal special on BBC Radio 5 tonight - 26th May

I'm listening to the match on the radio at the moment, and the commies have mentioned that there's a special on Rafa and his attempt for La Décima on BBC Radio 5 Live (I don't think it's the Sports...

Re: Federer's RG 2015 Outfit.

If you missed Kyle Edmund's outfit yesterday, have a hunt for it. Same colour combination, more or less, but makes Fed's look tame in comparison.

Re: Which countries media is the most biased in tennis?

My sympathies, too - especially about the putting the same thing on two channels! I'm afraid jingoism got the better of quite a few commentators during the Olympics, not just the tennis ones.

I...

Re: Roland Garros R1: Stepanek def Dodig 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-1

Oh, so Steps is still around? I was wondering what had happened to him.

Re: RG R1: [3] Murray def. [LL] Arguello 6-3 6-3 6-1

When did Muzza turn into such a grunter, or was he just taking the mick out of his opponent?

Re: RG R1: (Q) Edmund def (Q) Robert 2-6 6-4 6-3 5-7 6-2

Yes, there were a lot of entertaining points in that match. Nice one. I did think the French crowd went OTT in their reactions to Edmund, though.

Didn't someone say he was supporting Kyle...

Re: Kyrgios nose bleeds - a side effect of something more sinister? (Serious thread)

Me too. I frequently had them at school and had to sit there in lessons with my head tilted back and cotton wool stuffed up my nose. The doctor was talking about getting the blood vessel...

Re: Hilariously non-PC article about Wawrinka on RG site

It does sound like the Daily Fail, doesn't it? But it has no place on the tournament's website. And now it literally doesn't have one, which is all the better.

Re: Doping in Tennis Thread (No accusations without proof. Wada could test using hair

That would be that sport where I think the TV comms today pointed out that 1/3 of all the players in the FO draw were 30 or older, would it?

Re: Kei credits McDonalds for his robust physique?

It seems to be nurture as well as nature, though: it's been noted that the Japanese, at least, are getting taller as they abandon their fish-based diet and move to a more westernised, higher-meat...

Re: RG R1 [5] Nishikori def. Mathieu 6-3 7-5 6-1

That second-set set point was really unlucky - or lucky, depending on whose point of view you take - though. Just when they looked to be set for a TB. I don't think I've ever seen quite such a dead...

Re: RG 15 - Un pour tous, tous pour un -- Beats Falla 63 63 64. R2 vs Granollers

Good match. I think Falla probably tested him just enough, without really ever proving to be a threat. Some good points from both players. FS %age decent, BH playing nicely, and FH, I suspect,...

Re: RG 2015: Main Draw & Discussions

And of the two, Novak is probably the unluckier, since Andy will only have to play the winner of (presumably) Djokodal. It does seem wrong having those two meet in the QFs, though (on paper). But...

Re: The AO 2012 final in retrospect

I rented the DVD, and couldn't believe the quality of play in the first set. I thought they both looked jetlagged, which is a bit difficult when you've been in a place for 2+ weeks, isn't it?
