Re: Can Nadal still catch Federer's 17?

I think it all depends on RG this year.

If he wins, he'll have 15 and that momentum might be enough to squeeze out two more, especially if he plays for a few more years and gets some favorable draws...

Re: Do you think Djokovic might become the most hated player on MTF?

That would happen in an instant if Novak started to approach Federer's slam count, which would require a superhuman effort on his part. The field is pretty mild right now but remember that it could...

Re: If Nadal loses at the FO this year I will...

Write a thesis about how aging catches up with everybody and that his 9 titles in 10 years is still one of the greatest achievements this sport has ever seen, one that will likely never be repeated.

Re: Beating two 'Big 3' players in a Slam, which case has been most impressive?

If we're solely talking about a player outside the Big 3 beating 2 Big 3 players, then I'd say easily Del Potro. He utterly manhandled Nadal and then showed amazing shotmaking and mental toughness...

Re: You can change one point in the history of tennis, which one?

Coria's MP against Gaudio at 2004 RG.

That match completely broke Coria's fighting spirit. He was only 22 at the time, if he had won that, I think a major Coria-Nadal rivalry would've erupted at RG...

Re: Which RG 2015 result would leave MTF in ruins?

I said this in the other thread, there are plenty of results that would leave this place in ruins.

But in terms of what would unleash the most chaos and tard-warring, I think it would be Djokovic...

Re: What result in the rest of the season would make MTF explode the most?

In a serious light, anything absurdly improbable like a player ranked outside the top 50 winning a slam would make this board go nuts.

But in terms of what would cause the most chaos from a player...

Re: WWW Monte Carlo Final: Djokovic vs Berdych

I think Tomas is going to come out strong and put up a better fight than most people think, but even despite that I can't see him winning a set, let alone the match.

My prediction is a tight 6-4...

Re: Monte Carlo is Dimitrov's to lose

Monfils will beat him in two relatively easy sets.

Re: Monte Carlo R3: Monfils def. Federer 6-4 7-6(5)

For the longest time, it was Berdych who seemed to be Federer's toughest opponent outside the Big 4, but clearly now it's Monfils. Just a tailor-made terrible matchup for Federer in his older years....

Re: Monte Carlo R16: [9] Dimitrov def. [7] Wawrinka, 6-1 6-2

Drunkwrinka making an appearance I see. Typical.

Happy for Grigor but it's hard to offer any praise when your opponent makes 41 UE in a 15-game match. At least he didn't make that any harder than...

Re: Another tragedy due to gun laws in the US

Not arguing with you there. I don't like the fact that the US has been butting into the business of other countries either. We should really be leaving people alone.

However, two wrongs don't...

Re: Another tragedy due to gun laws in the US

Your argument is basically that we live on the same planet, we all have to abide by similar laws. Then what's the point of having borders even?

And besides, aren't there greater evils in...

Re: Another tragedy due to gun laws in the US

Exactly this.

I have so many friends from other nations who haven't set a foot inside the United States but yet seem to be obsessed with telling us how to run our country. I mean, I'm a pretty...

Re: Who is more taltenated: Lahyani or Nouni?

Huh. I didn't know "taltenated" was a word.

Seriously, it's not that hard to proofread before submitting a thread. And even so, I can understand minor grammatical blips but that's horrendously...

I never get tired of this line of logic on MTF. "My favorite player only loses when [insert excuse]"

Re: What Should The Djokovic-Murray Rivalry Be Called?

In all seriousness though, this is one of the most boring, anticlimatic rivalries in tennis history between two top players.

And I'm not saying that out of hate, I actually enjoy watching both...

Re: Houston R1: Go Soeda def. [WC] Lleyton Hewitt 4-6 7-6(3) 6-3

Poor Rusty

I hope he can put together one last finals run at a 500 tournament or one of the grasscourt warmups. I think for all his hard work on the tour over these many years he deserves...

Re: Gilles Simon on money distribution in tennis

Such an intelligent man. Always nice to see a player speak his mind and tell the world the honest-but-unsexy reality that so many others won't even acknowledge.

Re: Who is to blame for nowadays boring interviews and on court actions?

Well jeez, I wonder.

Every single time a player says something the slightest bit inflammatory in an interview, this entire forum has a meltdown. Haters come out in droves, tards begin firing at one...
