Re: Montecarlo SF: [1] Djokovic vs [3] Nadal - Rafaole XLIII

wait wait wait - beating Djokovic on clay would be an 'achievement' when Nadal dominates him on the surface in H2H? get back down to Earth. Novak is playing well this season but he is not...

Re: Djokovic throws shade/mind games to Nadal

ehhhhh to some degree true, to some degree not. I don't know if Federer, for example, had a confidence problem when he changed his racket to the bigger frame. its just the reality is if you've used...

Re: The better volleyer: Nole or Rafa?

not true at all, Nadal is an extremely good doubles player. he works well with the teammate, handles the net well, has a good understanding of what shots to play and where to be positioned when...

Re: The better volleyer: Nole or Rafa?

I'll admit that Nadal does not really frequent the net THAT often, but he is extremely efficient and deft with his hands when he does. unlike Djokovic, you rarely see Nadal screw up a volley or drop...

Re: YodaKnowsBest Threads

sort of indifferent about Yoda's threads, but I do find him somewhat amusing and especially the picture of Yoda that is in his signature is hilarious. then again I like Yoda (THE STAR WARS CHARACTER)...

Re: The better volleyer: Nole or Rafa?

not true, Djokovic has poor instinct and reaction time at the net in comparison to Nadal. you constantly see Nadal having to 'dive' at net and carve out some insane drop shot or slice

Re: The better volleyer: Nole or Rafa?

Nadal by a huge margin. he almost always wins the vast majority of net points. even of late (when Djokovic has been in good form) we see Novak rush the net and totally screw it up. doesn't have quite...

Re: Monte Carlo R3: [3] Nadal def. [15] Isner 7-6(6) 4-6 6-3

you are aware that Djokovic has a pretty terrible clay H2H against Nadal right? it's like some of you don't think before writing things on your keyboard (and I'm aware Djokovic is in good form this...

Re: Monte Carlo R3: [3] Nadal def. [15] Isner 7-6(6) 4-6 6-3

was a decent quality match, not sure why you're saying that. looked as good as he has any other match this season and it was definitely one of the better matches I've seen Isner play on clay. again,...

Re: Monte Carlo R3: [3] Nadal def. [15] Isner 7-6(6) 4-6 6-3

oh come off it, Isner is a great player for his size but to imply that he is more talented than Nadal is just close minded and silly. even Isner himself has been quoted (very recently I might add)...

Re: Monte Carlo R3: [3] Nadal def. [15] Isner 7-6(8) 4-6 6-3

you can't seriously be trying to get credit for saying 'RG crown for Nadal again' right? I mean I feel like any oddsmaker would say the same thing, someone who is 9/10 is a pretty good bet

Re: Monte Carlo R3: [3] Nadal def. [15] Isner 7-6(6) 4-6 6-3

Isner and Nadal both were pretty solid

Nadal still probably standing a bit far back for my liking but he did manage to start reading the Isner serve pretty well by that third set. John hit fabulous...

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 10

Nadal played those points pretty well actually despite Isner not targeting his 1st serve very well. is what it is

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 10

will say it time and time again, do not understand why Nadal keeps standing so far back against these big servers. needs to take more risks on the return, pick a side. have to do that against an...

Re: Monte Carlo R3: Monfils def. Federer 6-4 7-6(5)

Monfils seemed to frustrate Federer with the number of balls he was getting in. far better from Gaels that he has been in a long timeeee. granted he's always been fast and athletic so one would...

you 'just realized Monte Carlo was happening?

Re: Monte Carlo R16: [9] Dimitrov def. [7] Wawrinka, 6-1 6-2

4-41 hahaha oh my god

no excuses, Stan did not look visibly injured, he just looked visibly like he didn't give a shit or was annoyed that he didn't get to sleep in today. what's happened to...

Re: WTF is underrated.

WTF is a nice event but unfortunately it has a tiny draw (whether you count the total number of players involved, or just the number of round robin matches required to win the event). its lack of...

Re: Nadal confirms racquet change:"I have more spin and power"

that's one season out of like 10 he's been part of (and even in that one he still achieved by far the most of anyone). haha I'm just saying its a pretty stupid point to make at this point, stating...

Re: Nadal confirms racquet change:"I have more spin and power"

funny you say that considering Federer in recent seasons has changed his racquet multiple times in the middle of the season. so not sure you're quite right about that
