FMTA Rules

FMTA

Instructions on how to play and Rules

You must Choose one Men player of your like. You will be awarded 400 points to be distributed among 4 surfaces (Hard, Clay, Grass, and Indoor). You may put a maximum of 115 points to one surface and a minimum of 90. You will also be awarded one Tiebreak Bonus which you will assign to one of 4 surfaces. These points will be distributed only once and may not be rearranged.

Scoring System
When sending in points, you must split your surface points into three sets, 5 for Grand Slams.

51 pts. or more - the set is 6-0
41-50 - the set is 6-1
31-40 - the set is 6-2
21-30 - the set is 6-3
16-20 - the set is 6-4
10-15 - the set is 7-5
7-9 - the set is 7-6(0)
6 - the set is 7-6(1)
5 - the set is 7-6(2)
4 - the set is 7-6(3)
3 - the set is 7-6(4)
2 - the set is 7-6(5)
1 - the set is 7-6(6)

You will send points for each match you play and be compared with your opponent’s points.

For example :

PLAYER A send :

1. 20
2. 70
3. 10

PLAYER B send :

1. 3
2. 91
3. 6

PLAYER A won 6:4 3:6 7:6(3)

TieBreak System
This system is applied when there is no difference.
Each player has bonus Tiebreak in one surface. The one with the Bonus on Tiebreak will win it by 9-7. If no player has bonus on tiebreak the lower ranked will pass through with a tiebreak of 10-8. If both have bonus tiebreak the highest ranked player will pass through with an 11-9 tiebreak.

Extra Bonus
Player ranked First will have 5 points more on each surface.
Players ranked Second-Fifth will have 3 points more on each surface.
Players ranked Sixth-Tenth will have 1 point more on each surface.
Players playing at local tournaments will have a 2 point bonus.

Placing players in the draws

Doubles

In Doubles points will be an average of the two players playing in each team.

Hope you comment and or suggest about the rules.

PS: Sorry if there are Grammar or Spelling Mistakes:p

Djokovic isn't taken, or?

If he is taken, because former times, I would take Gilles Muller or Alex Kuznetsov ;)

Clay: 115
Hardcourt: 100
Indoors: 95
Grass: 90

Let me ask some quetions:
The player I picked doesn't have to be in the event, right?
It doesn't change if my player plays better on hard, clay or grass, picking a player is just a way of playing with someone i like??

maybe this will sound like a very stupid question..but when I put 30 pts on a set, does it matter who wins that set, or only if I got the score right???

There are a few things in the rules I can't quite understand but I'm not going to worry about it as I may be able to understand when the game is working... but one thing I do have ask about is in relation to the bonus points above.

I assume the first 3 mean that the winner and so on get bonus points for the next tournament they play in (and only that tournament??). But the 4th one listed puzzles me... players playing at local tournaments get 2 bonus points for the week they are playing at home? That seems a little unfair considering countries like America have a LOT of tournaments whereas other countries only have one tournament a year. That's how I understand your rules to mean, correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct.
The thing of American players I thought about putting a negative bonus for american players playing outside the USA. This bonus would be of -1. And South American players playing in any pārt of South America having +2, and playing in their own country +4.
I think with this it should be balanced.
