AMS Rome! ~~ Forza Kiwi!! ~~

Kiwi is back after his little rest to cure the stomach muscle. He said it's not yet 100%, especially overhead, but I hope he is quite okay because he can win again a few rounds with this draw.

Here is his quarter:

(4)David Nalbandian (ARG) vs Q
Juan Carlos Ferrero (ESP) vs Paul Henri Mathieu (FRA)
Davide Sanguinetti (ITA) vs Q
Daniele Bracciali (ITA) vs (13)Nicolas Kiefer (GER)

(9)Guillermo Coria (ARG) vs Q
Marat Safin (RUS) vs Q
Mario Ancic (CRO) vs Luis Horna (PER)
Florent Serra (FRA) vs (7)James Blake (USA)

Bracciali is from time to time playing very well, takes the risk and has the weapons, plus a nice serve for his height. He can be dangerous, maybe even more so in Italy. Bracciali also with the tournament on clay in Casablanca, so not too shabby. But it's still not the biggest name and it could have been worse in a such a draw, so I hope it's doable for Kiwi. Sanguinetti vs Qualifier: another chance for Kiwi not facing the biggest names in a probable 2nd round match. 3rd round would be more difficult: Ferrero, Mathieu, Nalbandian!

Kiefer def. Bracciali 4-6 6-2 6-4

I expected it to be hard because Bracciali can play good tennis and I thought he would be dangerious in Italy, and also due to his tournament win.

So I'm really glad that Kiwi won this match!!! :bounce: :woohoo:

Merci for the highlights again! :yeah:

 LOL, looks like Kiwi had a few fist pumps and outcries when he won the point and after the converted match point. Except a few singular claps it was almost silent in the stadium whenever Kiwi won the point while there was good applause for Bracciali. Kiwi also had some reactions towards the direction of Nensel. I'm sure he was glad as hell to have survived this and not being broken at the end!!
