He had a WC on both F1 and F2, so they probably wanted to change. :confused:

And you're right, he's being the best Portuguese this year. His rank will go up and up and up if he keeps playing like this.

After checking the scores so far (thanks Tobi :) ) I noticed there are a lot more Portuguese fighting to Q for the main draw than usual. That has to be good news. It's a pity Frederico Marques and Hugo Anão will play each other though - they're both good enough.

Nicau lost :eek: 6-2 6-1. Why the hell? He must have been tired or something, or perhaps unmotivated for not being given a WC.

Frederico Gil and Rui Machado with thrashing wins. :) João Ferreira won! :D Fred Marques Jr lost heavily to Middelkoop who had already beat Vasco Antunes hard. :( José Ricardo Nunes won the WC match and will face Frederico Gil.
