Roger Federer needed only 66 minutes to finish off Ivan Ljubicic in Thursday's Pacific Life Open quarterfinals. Federer, going for his third consecutive Indian Wells title, defeated Ljubicic 6-2, 6-3. Last year, Federer also beat the Croatian in straight sets on his way to championship, but he had to win two tiebreakers in that fourth-round match.
