Australian Domestic Cricket - Official Thread

May aswell make a thread on our Domestic cricket. Reason is I've found a massive bet today which I'm pounding the life out of.

ING Cup - South Australia V New South Wales

NSW to win @ $1.85

I cannot understand why the odds are like this. Sure South Australia is in good form, but NSW have a superior side. Watch for Michael Clarke to score another century.

South Australian: Darren Lehmann (capt), Matthew Elliott, Graham Manou, Callum Ferguson, Greg Blewett, Jason Gillespie, Cameron Borgas, Trent Kelly, Mark Cleary, Gary Putland, Mark Cosgrove, Paul Rofe, Daniel Cullen (supersub and 13th man to be named).

New South Wales: Simon Katich (capt), Aaron Bird, Doug Bollinger, Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin, Phil Jaques, Stuart MacGill, Matthew Nicholson, Aaron O'Brien, Corey Richards, Dominic Thornely, Stuart Clark (supersub to be named).

The only questionable thing is NSW's bowling lineup. Other than that, it's bloody good.

where is it being played?

redbacks have a decent team, but would have to agree with you - even though NSW have lost half their side to the test team, should have enough depth to cover

Day nighter in Adelaide.

Elliot needs to pass a fitness test and Blewett is questionable.

NSW's batting is too strong.

Told yas

NSW 4/282 (50)

South Australia bowled out for 209

Up and coming star Phil Jaques hit 158 off 141 - had good support from Thornelly. Won't be long till Jaques is opening the batting for Australia in the one day arena.

Another up and coming star, Mark Cosgrove hit a 76 for SA - was their only resistance.

Bet won!

ING Cup - Queensland V Western Australia

Queensland @ $1.55

Must win game for Queensland.

There is value to be had in Western Australia - but Queensland should get up.

WON

Western Australia made 226.

Queensland got off with a flyer thanks to rising star Hopes who scored 77 off 66. Maher didn't do much, made 14 but stayed around. Perren and Hopes enjoyed a small partnership. Perren fell after 6 off 24 balls then Hopes fell aswell. Didn't take long for Philipson and Simpson to fall aswell and QLD lost 4 wickets off 2 and a bit overs. Was looking grim at 5/113 off 20 overs.

Reardon and debutant (future star) Paulsen put in a solid partnership together. 58 run partnership. Paulsen and Reardon fell within a few overs and Queensland had Bichel and Hartley at the crease.

Bichel fell and the score was 8/197 (44.1). Hauritz and Hartley had to steer queensland home. At one stage of the innings, around the 20 over mark, they had a 30 run/ball difference and found themselves behind in the last 4 overs. They needed 16 off 2 overs to win. Got 6 runs off the 49th over and needed 10 off the last.

It was here that Australia's future Wicket Keeper, Hartley showed his true worth. He hit a 6 off the first ball of the over, then got a single and Hauritz got a single and suddenly QLD needed 2 to win off 3 balls. Hartley hit another 6 to win the game for QLD.

Just got out of Jail there. Our middle order is crap without Watson and Symmonds. Time to make a few changes. A usual collapse and we just snuck home. Not good enough. I was impressed with debutant Paulsen tonight. He's an up and coming star. He held his nerve and kept us in the game.

Philipson and Simpson need to go. We have Paulsen who proved his worth tonight and we have Reardon.

I would go with this team next year when we start winning again. Something along these lines. Philipson and Simpson need to go.

1. Hopes
2. Stevens
3. Maher
4. Perren
5. Reardon
6. Paulsen
7. Hartley
8. Bichel
9. Kasprowich
10. Hauritz
11. Johnson
