Davis Cup 2005: Australia hosts Austria. This thread is Romance Free

Who will be nominated? This is a serious question this time around. Will golf ace Scotty Draper be called off the bench? Will Mark P have another astonishing comeback? Will Todd Reid ever emerge after his bout with glandular fever? What about doubles? Who will the Austrian team be? :bounce: :bounce: :D |

Lleyton and Woodbridge are the only definites.
Possibly. Sadly, I doubt it. I hope so. Todd Woodbridge and perhaps Lleyton or Wayne Arthurs. Melzer and some other guys. ;) |

Considering they're playing on grass and Lleyton will be well-rested, I wonder what the chances are that he would play doubles with Woodbridge, as well as singles. It's a big order, but I think it's doable, and it might be Australia's best chance of winning.

It's been done before and should he win his first match handily it might be tempting.
Marlene, do you know if Koubek has been suspended? Didn't he have a positive test result. Not that he is really scary on grass. If it were clay... Someone :help: I can't figure out how to delete this thread. |

I'm pretty sure that Koubek was suspended, but I don't know for how long.

Thanks for the help and Koubek info...
People bickering on the photo thread, multiple weird relationship threads, double tournament threads... Tara leaves for her New Year's holiday and this place goes haywire. *goes to post in Jane's thread* |

Don't worry about the thread Dagmar  I'm sorry I caused the problem in the first place by not reading the other threads properly before posting a new one!
In fact, let's make lots more DC threads and bump the other ones off the page! |

Lleyton [duh], Scott Draper, Todd Woodbridge, the 4th will depend on how much belief they have in Mark Philippousis Will golf ace Scotty Draper be called off the bench? Yes. Maybe only for doubles, but I'm sure he will be on the team Will Mark P have another astonishing comeback? If he plays, I think he will. He does have a good Davis Cup record and he really wants to play Will Todd Reid ever emerge after his bout with glandular fever? Yes, but it may take a bit of time. Glandular fever is evil What about doubles? Definately Woodbridge. I think the 2nd player will depend largely on how many singles matches have been won in the first day [ie. do they want to rest Lleyton] Who will the Austrian team be? Who cares? I can't even think of any known Austrian players. Regardless of who they pick, my money is on Lleyton to kick their arses |
