Grip size too big, any help ?

I have found last years model of HEAD radical racquet at more than half price but they have only one racquet left with the biggest grip size - L4 or 4 1/2
That's too big for me, a step smaller would be ideal for my hand size. Is there any way I can "shrink" that grip size, removing that stock grip tape or something like that ???
Any help would be kindly appreciated.:)

Nope. And FYI a 4 1/2 is not the largest grip size. The biggest available is 4 5/8. Go with the 4 1/2 size and you'll be fine.

Even if it was possible to take off the stock grip (which I don't think anyone would advise), you'd still have to put an overgrip in its place, so the size will remain more or less the same.
I actually think grip comfort is one of the most important features of a racket for an amateur, so don't go for a racket you'll feel uncomfortable with just because it was half off.
