Hi Nacho.:wavey:

Very detailed info you got here. So this is a Intra-Spain tourney? How many you guys get every year? I only heard of the Championship of Spain in the mid year. You got to tell us more about the system in Spain.

So the winner can claim to be the best in Spain :) Well, at least the bragging right, I supposed.

Hey, thx for the info.

claudine140 10-10-2002 06:56 AM

Moyke did play the most matches and won the most too in that spanish evenement.
He is simply the best, the statistics shows that.

Carlos won it last year over Tommy, but he has lost two finals to Corretja in 1998 & 2000.

These are all the winners:

2001
Carlos Moyá def Tommy Robredo
2000
Alex Corretja def Carlos Moyá
1999
Francisco Clavet def Alex Corretja
1998
Alex Corretja def Carlos Moyá
1997
Felix Mantilla def Francisco Clavet
1996
Sergi Bruguera def Francisco Clavet
1995
Sergi Bruguera def Francisco Clavet
1994
Tomas Carbonell def Francisco Clavet

As you can see, Clavet is the king of this Master at the moment, with 1 title and 4 finals.

when is it? who's going? is there a website?

i feel a trip to barcelona coming on :)

claudine140 11-17-2002 08:39 AM

moyke isn't playing the masters this year, because his back is too tired, he must rest for a while
and so he can not give 100 % and he doen't want to loose in the first round. That is normal i think, moyke showed us this last week that he gives himself for 100% if he is able to do it.

JonBcn 11-17-2002 03:37 PM

It starts on Thursday at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona. The closest you'll get to a website is http://www.nobeltenis.com/

Anyone else going?

RogiFan 11-18-2002 03:56 PM

:) In the Palau Sant Jordi? COOL!! I caught a glimpse of it when I was in Barcelona a month ago!!!

VAMOS, ALEX!!! ;)

Gracias por el sitio web!!

JonBcn 11-18-2002 04:45 PM

I'm hearing from those in the know that Ferrero and Costa are going to announce their withdrawals tomorrow.

joanbalcells 11-18-2002 09:55 PM

shame, i don't even condier coming now. balcells is too low to qualify as Spanish number 12 (i think).

have a great tournament if you go JonBcn!
