I don't get it why Romania've chosen (again) hard indoor instead of clay but i think it doesn't matter anyway. Romania should win it 4-1 or 5-0

Since Hanescu is not in the squad, I think it's better for us to play on hard courts because of Marius and Horia. It's true that Adi is much better on clay than on hard, but with opponents like Pedersen, he should win without too much effort.

Yes, they have.

Hanescu was also in discussion to play in this tie, but was not satisfied with the financial offer he received and declined the invitation.

Important moment at 5-5 in the tiebreak on Copil's serve when Nielsen hit a very good return, the linesman called it out and the chair umpire overruled it but the point was replayed. The ball really looked good and Nielsen would've definetly won that point as Marius returned the ball over the net but Nielsen would've won that point with an easy volley/smash.

Anyway i think Copil deserved to win the set as he missed break points in 4 of Nielsen's 6 service games and didn't face a bp in the whole set

Copil - Nielsen 6-3 7-6(7) 6-4

Nielsen had a 4-2 lead in the 3rd but Copil recovered well. Solid performance overall from Marius who was dominant throughout the match

Ungur - Pedersen 6-2 7-6(3). Ungur had a 4-2 lead and then the danish player broke back. I think Ungur took his foot off the pedal and that's why he lost his serve but he was in control overall

Ungur - Pedersen 6-2 7-6(3) 4-6. Ungur is being put to serious work here. Pedersen is trying to be agressive as this is his only chance in the match and it looks like it's working. Ungur is too passive and he relies on his opponent's unforced errors. He should change this tactic

Ungur - Pedersen 6-2 7-6(3) 4-6 4-6. Incredible. Ungur goes from bad to worse and Pedersen is hitting the ball well and serving out of his world. It's true Ungur's return has been terrible in the last two sets. Ungur's mental is his weakest weapon and believe it or not i think Pedersen is the favourite now :o

Ungur - Pedersen 6-2 7-6(3) 4-6 4-6 4-1. Sloppy service game by Pedersen and Ungur broke to take an early lead in the set. He looks in control and hopefully that break will prove to be deciding
