Canada can genuinely win this.

Canada has chances here. HC and if Raonic plays how he knows it could be a big chance .

Re: World Group 1st Round: Spain at Canada (February 1-3, 2013)
Spain comes with her 3rd level players.. (i think canda will win in the 5th rubber)

Re: World Group 1st Round: Spain at Canada (February 1-3, 2013)
Almagro is injured, GGL will replace him, and I think Andujar will go as a reserve (Ramos had already replaced Bautista, who is also injured)
IMO, Spain should focus now in September's playoff to try to stay in the WG |
Re: World Group 1st Round: Spain at Canada (February 1-3, 2013)
Canada have no excuses to lose this now, but I have a feeling they will… :help:

With that team Canada HAS to win this. There are no reasons for them to lose against that team Spain. If Milos is playing decently he shouldn't lose in single and Frank or Pospisil are able to win 1 of the single as well. Double is winnable for Canada too but it's more even than in single. |
Re: World Group 1st Round: Spain at Canada (February 1-3, 2013)
Raonic may well win both of his single games.
But I doubt Vasek or Frank will win their singles match. The doubles match is going to be a great game and, in my opinion, will decide who wins this. Despite Spain's important absences, I think they are still winning this. |
Re: World Group 1st Round: Spain at Canada (February 1-3, 2013)
Dancevic hit and moved well in the challenger in Heibronn, so if he's ever to get a big DC win again, it could be this time - beating GGL, A Ramos, or a tired Granollers on a fast indoor court in front of a big supportive crowd is not that tall a task actually for Fancy Dancy.
Spain will most likely win the doubles. |
Re: World Group 1st Round: Spain at Canada (February 1-3, 2013)
with Nico I would have still went with Spain.. without him.. Canucks have winning odds

Re: World Group 1st Round: Spain at Canada (February 1-3, 2013)
I can see Raonic winning both matches, Spain winning doubles and Granollers beating Canada's 2nd man. The tie will be decided by Dancevic/Pospisil vs Garcia Lopez/Andujar IMO. Canadians have the first chance

Re: World Group 1st Round: Spain at Canada (February 1-3, 2013)
Nestor says he's partnering with Vasek in press conference. If this is true you have to imagine they don't want Vasek playing 3 matches coming off mono so you'd have to think they throw Frank in for singles day 1 against Spain #1, and if the tie is still alive by the last rubber they pick between between Frank and Vasek based off their form from their first matches.
Any way you slice it, on these courts and with these players, Canada is the favourite (albeit slight) to pull out 3 matches here and the bookies agree today: http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/da...v-spain/winner |
