thanks, no Fish who was initially announced,

he has no tournament or exho planned before the AO : maybe he's still ill and will not go to Australia :confused: :sad:

Almagro doesn't come this year and will not have any preparation this year either, contrary to last year when he played Chennai and Auckland.

comparing to last year, they lose Almagro, Monaco, Robredo and Verdasco :lol:

and they get Tommy Haas, Janowicz, Melzer, Haase (Klizan and Goffin) for those who like "real tennis" :rolleyes:

I had also read somewhere that Gulbis planned to come back there.

A little over a month from now, 7 of the top 30 players in the world are scheduled to travel to Auckland, New Zealand to the Heineken Open, a stepping stone tournament for the Australian Open.

The Spanish Armada has almost deserted David Ferrer in Auckland this time around. Will there be a rematch of the Paris-Bercy Final? Will Jerzy Janowicz take advantage of his well earned new resources and seeding to take the winning tack and get his declared revenge on the highest ranked player in the entry list? Or will Mr. Stamina, the 2012 top ATP titlist, sail through to his 3rd straight Auckland title on the wind from his best season?

Who else matches up well with the other players in this field?

The tennis world surely will be keeping a sharp lookout with many of the top youngsters looking to rise in the ranks and perhaps give us a glimpse into the future. :) :yeah: :cool:

I love this Entry List. SO many of my favourite players plays here. Haas, Querrey, Janowicz, Klizan, Bellucci, Haase, Soeda... can't wait to see it!
