Tour Taking It's Toll on Tomic?
 
And now... the fast and furious tour causes another one to bite the dust.

This time it's Tomic. Here's another talented player addressing the grueling intensity and length of the tennis season and how it's been affecting his game.

What do you guys think? Do we need to scale back the amount of games these guys are playing? Maybe move to a best of 3 format?

I think it's a good idea to reduce the length of a match. Change the game structure so players only need to win 2 points per game. Sorted.

Would Tomic have the fortitude for best of 3 games? I don't think it'd make enough difference.

Why is a guy who doesn't go deep in the tournaments complaining? He doesn't slog around challengers either. I have no idea why he thinks the schedule is heavy on him.

Firstly he is not complaining. He is a 19 year old kid pointing out that he is not used to playing weekly tournaments, travelling between countries each time.

Secondly all these people saying that he does not try must be admitting that he has serious talent to be in the top 50 for the last 12 months without even putting in any effort.

Any excuse to troll I suppose. :rolleyes:

This guy is really in the crapper. He defends something like 400 points until the end of January. If he goes into a slump, he might drop to the low 90s.
