Djokovic hasn't beaten a fellow member of the Big 4 since early June...

Nole has been close-but-no-cigar at the big events since Miami. After a year and a half of playing consistently clutch, it was inevitable that losses would happen again. Most worrisome is his current losing streak vs. Big 4 players since the French Open semis... in an ideal situation (for me), he will snap that streak in Shanghai next weekend.

vs. Nadal:
L - F, French Open

vs. Murray:
L - F, US Open
L - SF, Olympics

vs. Federer:
L - F, Cincinnati
L - SF, Wimbledon
(W - SF, French Open)

Based on match up, I do worry about Murray for him moving forward. Murray's brand of low ball defense is trickiest for Nole to hit through.

So, will Djokovic end this in Shanghai, or lose to someone else, or avoid Fed/Murray altogether? Discuss.

On the other hand, it says a lot about his consistency that he hasn't lost to a non-Big 4 member since May, and only twice this year.

But it is a bit of a concern. He wouldn't want to be a best of the rest style of player....

Hardly relevant. Tennis is played against the field, not against three players, and Nole has been the best player of the year overall. Not to mention this 'since Mid June' streak is only 5 matches.

Three times: Isner in Indian Wells, Tipsy in Madrid, Delpo in Olympics.

And he wants to be a best in the world style of players, which he has clearly been in 2012.

Aware of that, and not saying he hasn't been the best player of the year overall, because he has. I hope he can snap the losing streak vs. them so that it doesn't become mental. He obviously needs to beat them to keep adding to his Slam tally.

Milos has beaten all top 4 players he has faced since early Septemer, ergo Milos > Nole

sorry bud, but Milos never played a match against Djokovic.

as for the topic, as it was mentioned already, Nole is extremely consistent. He managed to reach F/SF or win in all tournaments he entered this year except Madrid on blue clay where he lost in QF. that's pretty amazing.

That's not Milos' fault, u don't know for Sure that Nole would beat him, based on this last little while against the top 4 streaks stat Milos > Nole

Basically just trying to show how some stats don't mean anything

lol, alright then. I didn't say Milos would or not win that potential match, but as your Canadian comrade we'll go with Milos > Nole :worship:

This streak is going to end in Shanghai: he'll beat either Murray or Federer in the final. :)

Oh, OK. So you're implying that Djok is in decline?

Is this a response to me, if so, how is it related...

It's nice to know the result of Shanghai before it's actually happened, though it ruins the suspense.
