Dick Clark interviews Cock Robin

Does anyone remember this crappy band from the 80's? I remember them vaguely but recently saw some of their stuff on YouTube. They apparently never made anything happen in the States or in the UK. Nowadays they are apparently touring some low-key joints n Europe. Who the hell listened to this crap back then? The chick in the band didn't shave her armpits but thought she was hot.

The band name must be dorkiest there ever was. But I have to admit that I laughed when I saw the video "Dick Clark interviews Cock Robin".

What did you laugh at? Dick Clark asks each band member where they are from. Did I miss something hilarious there?

I never heard of them, but listened to a couple of videos. For the 80's they were really good. A lead singer that can actually sing and sounds like a cross between Bono and Roy Orbison, good instrumentals and a chick that crazy dances like Elaine from Seinfeld. What's not to like?

English is not my native language. When Dick interviews Cock, I find it amusing. It's childish, I know.

I agree this Peter fellow is a decent singer, but the chick is horrible. They obviously had this "great vision" about her being the hot lead. But the dancing looks really retarded and hairy armpits are just disgusting. By the way, judging by their recent performances she really has not aged that well.

The 80's actually produced very good music. It's always been underrated. But this band failed for a reason.

.

I think you are stretching it too much.

My guess is that native English speakers are so over-exposed to the double entendres of those words that they no longer notice. I certainly didn't.

Yes, it's the same in German. But who knows how the language will evolve in the future? Maybe someday there's a band called Cocksucker John and no one notices anything.

Well, there already is Pussy Riot and we all notice.

And the Olympics just featured music by the Fuck Buttons.

Yesterday I had too much time on my hands and I watched very closely the video for the song "When your heart is weak". The song is not that bad, but the video is pretty awful. There's one scene in the middle of the song, where the band are playing in the desert on a cliff or somerhing similar. I don't know what the singer is doing. I guess he's dancing, or at least he's trying to dance. But the lyrics go something like "I'm gonna come without warning". Cock singing about coming? That sounds funny.
