Sam stosur
I really hope Sammy does well at Wimbledon this year. She sometimes appears to choke and lose matches that on paper would favour her. She needs to be more confident of herself and know that she can take on the best of the best, she is a grand slam title holder after all.

Hi Dannyfortennis,

I would like to talk about Stosur (and Barty) here but it's against the rules. See this page ( for a discussion of Stosur on the female equivalent of this site.

Re: Sam stosur
Okay. Get this;

Ashleigh Barty has never beaten a TOP 100 player
Ashleigh Barty has never won a WTA match, MD or Q
Ashleigh Barty has never won a senior GS match, MD or Q
Ashleigh Barty has never won a set in either WTA or GS
Ashleigh Barty has received MDWC's into AO, RG and Wimbledon - courtesy of Tennis Australia
Ashleigh Barty may receive the MDWC at the US Open this year if her post match interview is anything to go by

I can't even anymore :help:

Re: Sam stosur
Well done Stosur :D

I know this surface is an absolute nightmare for her but her draw is okay. Really the big threats in her whole quarter are Li Na and Agnieszka Radwanska, and Na is her pigeon. If she's ever to go far at Wimbledon than THIS IS THE YEAR. But she's really really REALLY bad on grass, she could lose to Rus fairly easily to be honest. I won't be surprised if she goes out tonight but good on her for trying to adjust her game enough to be competitive on the stuff. She's really been great for Australian tennis.

Sorry for ranting and raving but I don't get to talk WTA that much anymore because I'm permabanned from TF :sobbing:
