Re: Week 28: Scheveningen (Entry List)

:sobbing: So poor.

And if you look at the ALTs, they're the same as in Timisoara and San Benedetto, so quite possibly the cut-off drops very very low.

Really poor list. Wasn't this tournament alot better a few years back? When Montanes and Cuevas won it?

Maybe De Bakker can continue his form he's been showing in clay Futures?

Yes, a lot better, as it used to be a top-tier Challenger. But the prize money has been slashed considerably. Not having a single Top 100 player (or anything close to it) might be a new thing for the tournament though.

It doesn't help when there are 4 ATP main level events that week.

Does that have to do with the new sponsor? Why did Siemens stop? They were sponsors for many years right?

Well, look on the bright side. Gaba has a good chance at winning the title and getting closer/close to the top 100 at this event. So it's not all bad.

Yes, definitely. That's a new thing too.

@ Yves, I do think it has to do with Siemens stopping (which they already did the last two years or so, at least they were no longer the title sponsor).

It was the same prizemoney last year and the Olympics have stuffed the calendar up.

Lmao...And what would be good about Gaba in the Top 100? Right, a walking bye in almost every main draw, gotcha....Good point, sir...Free points for everyone in Top 100!!! Great reason for Gaba to get back in Top 100...Im all 7for it :wavey:

I did say "the last few years", I think. The event was a highest-echelon Challenger, but has been downgraded due to sponsorship issues.

Gaba will have no chance against Thiemo. And it's not even close :smoke:
For him, there will be no differences with those Futurs in Netherlands he's winning as he wants ;)
