This list seems better than most 500's tbh.

What a List

A good idea to make it 28 draw, so Fed and rafa have time to regroup themself after Roland Garros!

This. Very good idea. Hopefully Lacko will enter to main draw.

Sometimes? If he skips it now, I think (and hope) Weber will ban him forever. :p

He skipped it every odd year, played every even year since 2006, this year is even then he should play

But I hope he won't play : he got an injury here before Wimbledon 2010 and what he mostly needs to play well on grass (for Wimbledon and the Olympics) is being fresh, not playing tournaments before.

Besides, it's stupid having a "life-time" contract with a tournament happening right after a slam, except if this contract only means that you won't play in another tournament the same week : I've always seen top-players withdraw from Queens/Halle if they did well in Roland-Garros, that's the way these tournaments should deal with these players, taking nothing for sure but having great potentialities, anyway they have so many great players entering

Djokovic has the wisest attitude, not entering any of the tournaments this week. If ever he gets out early in RG, he can get a wild-card anyway.

Re: Halle Entry List (updated May 1, 2012)

I also hope he won't play, but more for selfish reasons. I've seen in Rotterdam how annoying it is when Roger is there, so I hope to avoid the craziness in Halle. :p I'm Swiss when it comes to Roger, neutral feelings, don't hate him, but I also don't really care if he's there or not. ;) It's how all the people behave around him which makes his appearance annoying.

I agree on the contract. For a tournament I can understand why they want it, but Roger should have thought it through in the long term and should have never signed it.

Yeah, though I also don't think wildcards should be used for that. :p

I`m disappointed `cause I won`t see the top seed 4 players - they will have BYE 1st round :( I have tickets just for Monday & Tuesday.I will travel 1000km from Slovakia. I have expected that will be usual draw for 32 players but first time is for 28. I just wanted to see Fedex play alive. I know that it`s not sure that he will come but I hope that I will see great tennis nevertheless.

Ah damn I wanted to go monday/tuesday also to see roger and rafa, too bad.
Can anyone make an educated guess if roger, rafa or both will be playing on wednesday?
Assuming they won't skip it altogether of course.

you have to just wait. I think that problably they will play at thursday - the will have enough time for regeneration and training on the grass court

I can totally understand your disappointment. I was very surprised to read about the decision to give the topplayers a bye for the 2nd round but Halle suffered from players withdrawals in the last years who made it far in Paris (Federer, Söderling, Berdych) and they don't want to risk something for this year's tournament which is a special one as it is the 20th anniversary.

When you can afford it to stay longer you can buy a ticket for the next days at the box office.

But I can assure you that Halle is worth the visit even when you won't be able to see Roger play ;)

Roger and Rafa surely won't play on the same day so I expect only one of them to play on Wednesday.

I believed if Roger will come will play 1st round as past years but this year they have changed the draw :/ I have planned everything just for first 2 days and it hard to re-plan it because of work, accomodation...
But nevermind, Im looking 4ward to see great matches, its my first ATP tournament, up to now I have visited only challengers :)
