Cereal breath
 

Yesterday I heard someone say "I don't eat cereal - it gives you cereal breath!"

Is there such a thing as "cereal breath"?

I don't eat cereals. I eat steak cooked rare 3 times a day, so all I know is smell of blood.

I never really thought cereal has much of a smell. Well obviously it has a smell but not a smell that you remember as being strong, like garlic or vodka or something.

This person is obviously a weirdo. I would eat cereal for every meal if it weren't for y'know...nutrition.

Yes, it smells somewhat bread-ish/grain-ish.

Cereal is unhealthy. Oatmeal for breakfest is what I enjoy :)

People suffering from celiac disease cannot properly digest cereals. That gives them a characteristic bad breath. When the disease is diagnosed and they change their diet, this problem subsides. There are about 7 celiac cases for every thousand people (1 in 133).
