Haha, if Djoker loses more than 10 games here he should be ashamed.

No Troicki or Tipsarevic? Djokovic had better play

Dismal list. A lot of hardcourters and most the claycourters are in bad form.

Pippo has a good chance to defend his SF here.

Actually,I dont think that Nole will play here at all...We`ll see,but rather it will be WC for Janko or Viktor (or both),u without Nole

Maybe waste of WCs. I mean they should be on this list and I'm not sure they don't want to play later. Especially seeing this list.

I'm sure it's hard for him. Isn't needed at all but still his home event.

Btw Kubot :cheerleader:

Really sad to see that some regulars haven't come: Tipsarevic, Troicki, Nishikori, Granollers, Isner... Maybe Monaco, Lopez and other claycourters from last year... Anyway, this tournament never had a weaker EL than this one :(

I think it's obvious really. Janko and Viktor (janko especially), are at the level where 250 events aren't really helping their rankings, unless they make a minimum of the final. With Djokovic on the list, it really makes it unlikely that either of them will win the tournament, and with the Monte Carlo, Rome, Madrid, and team championship tournaments, in successive weeks around this event - and then of course, Roland Garros, then grasscourt, and Olympics, they don't have any breaks in their schedule for months. It's the right decisions for them. If you look at the list for all three events on this week, I think there's about 8-10 players in the top 30 involved altogether, so a lot of players have made this type of decision too.

Of course, for us, and for the tournament, it is a real blow. Hopefully at least one marquee player will take a wildcard, but I very much doubt it will be either Janko or Viktor. I would imagine it will be a younger Djokovic, Lajovic, and either Cacic/Jankovic/Krajinovic to take the other. Krajinovic, at this point would probably be a waste. If they can dig another top 20-30 player out of the air, then great.

I only hope this doesn't have a negative effect in the future on the tournament. Serbia needs at least 1 event in either ATP or WTA. With Gemax gone from the last few years, this one is important. Of course the list here, is almost like a list for Gemax, with Djokovic thrown in for fun.

I wonder if this could be a chance for Vemic to officially retire also now? Maybe doubles/qualifying wild card for him

Goran Djokovic said that one WC is sure for Marko Djokovic, that they are talking with Lajovic for the 2nd one and that they will try to give the 3rd one to foreigner...

It would definitely help Troicki, whose ranking is sinking fast. I imagine he might ask for one. Tipsarevic no longer needs it, but I can still see it happening
