Very happy to announce that Ivan Lendl is my new full time coach. His impact on the game is unquestionable and he brings experience and knowledge that few others have, particularly in major tournaments. Happy New Year :)

An intriguing move - I thought it was very interesting when it was first posited back in March 2011 even though nothing came of it then.

I will be fascinated to see how that chemistry works out and what, if anything, Lendl is able to bring to the table in terms of honing Andy's unquestionable talent and turning him into a winner at the majors. Lendl has been exactly where Andy was, losing his first three major finals, so if anyone can help Andy make that final step, Lendl is better placed than most.

Great, things are sorted on the coach side of things. It's all coming together for 2012 then. Lendl has unproven coaching credentials but his experience and similarities to Andy can only help. Hopefully their ego's don't clash and they gel quickly.

Just repeating what I said in another thread: When there were rumours about this earlier in the year I thought it sounded like a good idea so hopefully this works out.

Lendl huh? That should be an intriguing pairing. Ivan does know what Andy's going through which is a plus. I guess we'll have to wait and see with this one.
